The day had begun like any other day. Kurt struggled with the argument over who got first shower, he prepared for school, wolfed down some breakfast, and made his way to class.
Partway through geology, his image inducer had started whirring, so he hurriedly excused himself and hid in the boy’s bathroom, trying to stop the stupid thing from spazzing out: which it did, in the end, and he was left blue and fuzzy. This didn’t happen very often, but it was still only slightly less normal than a regular day.
His ‘regular’ day, however, ended the moment he decided to teleport home. For, when he reentered, he was struck by an overwhelming dizziness and promptly dropped to a carpeted floor, fighting to keep nausea from over taking him.
The moment he was certain he wasn’t about to spill his breakfast all over this lovely rug, he looked up... and froze. He was in... a study? Books that seemed a thousand years old lined the room on rickety wooden shelves. Other piles of similar books were thrown into haphazard piles around an old wooden desk. And, before him, stood a man that he had never seen before, who looked just as surprised to see Kurt as Kurt was to see him.
“Uh... Hello.”
