In this AU, Theresa is the apprentice of Hecate and Jay is the Apprentice of Cronus.
They know something is wrong but none of the Titans can figure out what. Eventually they will and they might attempt to be heroes but could the corruption be to much for them to fight against?

@rabid-mercenary15's Corruption!AU might be my favourite TADC AU, itās a simple concept but an effective one. I knew instantly what I wanted to do with Grif for this AU. People that get corrupted develop bright multicoloured eyes around their bodies, and I thought it would be a perfect excuse to make a character design involving a couple of traits that I like, eye markings on wings, and threat displays that involve flashing hidden colours/markings.
More info about Corruption!Grif under the cut.
-Grif remains a plush, but now he is almost completely covered in the corruption. Only the upper portion of his left foreleg and the left side of his head and chest look normal.Ā
The edges of his wings and the end of his tail fluctuates, glitching into sharp points that extend and retract. The rest of his corrupted body sometimes prickles with these glitches too, becoming more frequent and numerous the more distressed he gets.
The claws on his forepaws have lengthened and grown sharp, and he also now has dull claws on his hind feet.Ā
The new eyes that come with corruption are on the inside of his wings, along his sides, and in the tuft at the end of his tail.Ā
The outside of his wings do not have eyes, and when his wings are folded, the eyes along his sides are hidden.Ā
His left eye appears normal, though the pupil is almost always contracted to a slit. Itās only during moments of clarity that it dilates to be a normal round shape.
His corrupted right eye is a bright neon green with a purple swirl. The rest of his corrupted eyes are various bright colours.
Grif appears to be quite a bit smaller than the other corrupted circus members, though if he stands up on his hind legs, the top of his head would reach Corruption!Jaxās shoulder.
-Cowardly and nervous, if he encounters anyone bigger than him, he will turn tail and run/fly away, rather than fight. If cornered, he will snap open his wings, flashing the bright, colourful eyes on their underside and along his sides, hoping itāll startle his attacker long enough to allow him to escape. But if he runs into someone smaller than him, he will be immediately hostile towards them and will mercilessly chase them down.
-While he can fly, he doesnāt do it all that often, instead he mostly uses his wings to give him a boost when jumping. Though, if heās running away from something or chasing someone down and has the option of flying, he will do so.
-He can be quite agile, but when running/flying at speed, he canāt make tight turns or stop suddenly. The best way to escape from him is to suddenly dart down a different path, heāll almost certainly run/fly past the turn and have to double back on himself, hopefully giving you enough time to lose him.
-His lair is in the carnival out in the grounds. He can often be found stalking around the stalls or perching on top of the attractions.
-His moments of clarity don't happen too often, but when he does have them they can last up to 25 minutes, though if something spooks him during them, heāll immediately snap back to his typical corrupted state. When he does have a moment of clarity, he tends to venture into the tent, in hopes that he could maybe do something to help the others.
-Relationship to cast members (when not having a moment of clarity):Ā
āThey call me āThe Dread Wolf.ā What will they call you when this is over?ā
Iyden drew in a breath at the question and how coldly it was asked. The rhythm of the red lyrium roared fury against the inside of his skull, bitterness and anger and a thousand other rages crashing over him. He felt half invincible and half a corpse. The lyrium crystals that had taken the place of the missing Anchor were a constant weight. His shoulder ached, his scarred skin prickled and itched, and his head throbbed with the rhythm that had grown from a song to a storm over the past few months. He wanted more than anything to sleep peacefully and Iyden could see that same exhaustion reflected back in Solasās face. Rather than sympathy, the red lyrium stoked his fury.
Whatever feelings Iyden had once had for his former companion were gone. He had held on for so long, hoped and prayed and searched. He had done everything in his power to turn Solas from this path. And now Solas had dragged him down with him, corrupting him in mind, body, and soul. And Iyden wasnāt sure whether the thought came from his own mind or the lyrium when he realized he hated the elf standing before him so indifferently.
What would they call him?
The lyrium hand hummed faintly as it curled into a fist.
There were so many things they might say. So many names to pick from.
Apostate.
Knife-ear.
Once, he might have been remembered as the Inquisitor, or even the Herald.
He wouldnāt have blamed them for calling him a monster after what the lyrium had done to him either.
But in that moment, the name that made his blood run hot with rage was the one he spoke, letting it fall from his tongue like venom.
You know,,, itās funny. What would a corruption for Illinois even entail? Getting screwed over too many times, heās finally had enough and is out for his own ends? Accidentally disturbing something or having something used on him that cracks his sanity at the seams? Just finally giving into the whims of the darker relics heās been messing with, almost borderline possession? Actual possession? Or getting tortured and tormented to the point heās unstable when he escapes it and puts himself back together on his own? - Illinoisā secretary
Some Corruption!AU sketches featuring my Inquisitor Iyden Lavellan (plus a bonus baby!Iyden because he's fun to draw).
Basically the idea is fairly straight forward. In one of Iyden's post-Trespasser run-ins with a red lyrium corrupted Solas, Iyden tries to get through to him (because he's a disaster gay and desperate to save him) and ends up getting infected too (sort of hinted at in the little animatic I made here). The corruption spreads gradually, twisting the pain Iyden feels about Solas leaving and his doubts about his abilities as Inquisitor into anger. Physically, he becomes stronger, even his magic is different, and eventually where the Anchor used to be he develops an arm made of red lyrium, but he also becomes more volatile, distrustful towards his allies, and prone to lashing out. It's a race to stop Solas from tearing down the Veil while also desperately trying to find a way to save Iyden before they lose him completely.
