THE BURIED
27 | He/Him | 5 ft 6
Works at the Magnus Institute; initially helped in artifact storage but was moved to the archives following Jon's promotion to Head Archivist.
Achieves avatar status when he and Jon are both shot after meeting with Mike and running into Daisy; Sev is buried half-alive and bleeding out, terrified of suffocating, but he ends up accepting his fate and fear and earning the Buried's favour. He claws his way out of his own grave and helps dig Jon out too.
Constantly covered in dirt and grass stains. Smells muddy no matter how much he showers. Hair gets greasy easily and often looks limp.
While his relationship with Daisy is rough following the whole murder situation, they do end up forming a somewhat decent friendship and then become closer when Sev climbs into the coffin/into the heart of the Buried to rescue her and Jon.
Rescuing them from the Buried leaves him exhausted, weak, and in pain, since it is essentially him 'stealing food' from his deity.
Romantic partner of Jon. Queerplatonic partner and best friend of Daisy.
THE CORRUPTION
27 | He/Him | 5 ft 6
Homeless and living in abandoned, run down buildings because he is soothed by the mold and damp.
Achieves avatar status when he attempt to carve the mold out of himself. As he's bleeding out he beginds to find comfort in the fact that the mold is there, singing to him.
The mold spots cause numbness and tingling; he has very little feeling in his right hand or left leg so he often uses a cane to get around. He is also blind in his left eye given the fact he carved it out of his head, but the mold guides him where he needs to go, and he still has his right eye.
THE DARK
27 | He/Him | 5 ft 6
He is practically born into avatar status, much like Agnes of the Lightless Flame. He is worshipped as a minor deity by his cult and is supposed to be important to their ritual. There is something akin to a black hole in his chest and looking him in the eyes causes a sinking, anxious feeling.
He is found by Gertrude and Gerry on their adventures to stop the various entity rituals. Gertrude wants to kill Sev at first but Gerry stops her. Sev latches onto Gerry as someone safe who cares about him as a person, not some deity or means to an end.
Relationship with Gerry. Scared of Gertrude.
THE DESOLATION
27 | He/Him | 5 ft 6
Works at the Magnus Institute in the archives. He joins after Jon has already been promoted. Elias is aware of his status as an avatar but thinks it'll be a good way to mark Jon.
Achieves avatar status in his late teens when he sets his own home on fire. His parents do not survive, adn technically, neither does he, but his fear of fire is mixed with fascination and wonder and the Desolation favors him for it.
Romantic partner of Jon.
THE END
27 | He/Him | 5 ft 6
Literally just a guy with really bad unmedicated/untreated depression. Like he's actively suicidal.
Achieves avatar status because he 'succeeds' in killing himself but the End likes him and grants him power. Which pisses Sev off because he is TRYING to be DEAD.
Oliver is fascinated by Sev because the dream tendrils are wrapped so tight around him and he's never seen anything quite like it.
Romantic partner of Oliver.
THE EYE
27 | He/Him | 5 ft 6
Works for the Magnus Institute. Is originally in research with Jon and Tim, and then Elias promotes him to Head Archivist and he begins running the archives.
He HAAAATES how unorganised the archives are and spends forever categorising statements my theme.
Elias is a little bit obsessed with him. Elias is mad that he is obsessed with him.
Romantic (?) partner of Elias. It's complicated. It's unhealthy.
THE FLESH
27 | He/It/Any | 5 ft 6
Literally just a guy! Having a great time!
Achieves avatar status when he ends up eating at a bad restaraunt where the meat kinda makes him a bit crazy and he ends up eating an actual person at some point. Don't worry about that.
Ends up getting a job at the gym Jared runs. He loves to work out and help train people. And occasionally eat them.
Best friends with Jared. Maybe has a bit of a crush. He's deciding not to think about it too hard.
THE HUNT
27 | He/Him | 5 ft 6
Works at the Magnus Institute as a researcher turned archival assistant.
Spends most of the AU not quite at avatar status, but he is marked by the Hunt and it wants him badly. He does his best to ignore the instinct to chase and hunt, but sometimes it's hard and he's so, so hungry. Eventually reaches avatar status when triggered into a fight upon Jon's order.
Loyal like a dog and bites just as hard.
Romantic relationship with Jon. There is also something going on with him and Daisy but neither know what to label it and it's a rocky, messy thing.
THE LONELY
27 | He/They/It | 5 ft 6
Takes up a job at the Institute because he thinks it'll be a great feeding ground. Peter calls Elias to ensure he gets the job.
Is basically born into avatar status; some distant relative of Peter Lukas.
He hops between bars seeking out lonely people, flirts and teases them to make them feel good and wanted, and then plays on the fear on being alone in order to feed.
Fascination with and eventual relationship with Martin.

THE SLAUGHTER
27 | He/Him | 5 ft 6
Comes into possession of a cursed knife and ends up going a bit crazy.
Carries at least 3 knives on him at all times. And YES he can do cool knife tricks with them.
He's essentially Melanie and season 3 Tim rolled into one character; angry and bitter and violent and spiteful.
THE SPIRAL
27 | He/It | 5 ft 6
Spends his life being chased by spirals and fractals until he gives in and embraces them. It twists him into something he's given up trying to recognise.
Cult leader.
In a relationship with Ari (TMA AU) and Jon.
THE STRANGER

He does not remember dying. He does not remember who he was before. He quite likes pretending to be human though.
Full of lavender and cotton. Smells like flowers and cigarettes.
Fascinated by Tim.
THE VAST
27 | He/Him | 5 ft 6
Achieves avatar status when he falls off of a tall tower and laughs in response to his inevitable death.
Adrenaline junkie. Scared of heights but spends his life chasing the highest heights he can find because he loves the rush of feeling scared.
Besties with Simon. In love with Mike, slow burn reciprocation.
THE WEB
27 | He/Him | 5 ft 6
Despite his fear of spiders, he spends his younger years protecting them and talking to them, which catches the Web's attention.
Upon his death (cause undecided) a spider (rabbit hutch spider) takes up residence inside of his heart and uses webs to keep it together and pumping.
