I fucking love Christmas. Just everything about it is amazing and it’s the one time ever year where I’m guaranteed to see my whole family so how could I ever complain? Also, it’s the only time every year where it’s acceptable to watch National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Ernest Saves Christmas, Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas, and Jingle All The Way and this beer just enhances this holiday to the fullest extent. How do I know? Because it’s currently mid July and this STILL has me in the holiday spirit so maybe I’ll just buy all you lovely readers gifts to put under your oak trees. Actually, scratch that because I’m broke. Tavour (www.tavour.com) on the other hand was definitely in the giving mood and this is the second beer in their Christmas package they sent out to me and even though I’ve had it before and loved it, I’ve never got to put my bastard stamp on it and review it so thanks so much to them! This has a super sweet candied sugar flavor to start with some dark fruit and plum-ish flavor mixing in towards the middle before closing out with a light malt and clean champagne-y sweetness. This beer is the perfect was to celebrate basically any holiday and if there isn’t one, fucking make one up because this is amazing for any occasion. All levels of craft-heads should sip this puppy down so get out there and drink you bastards!
