🦎 The answer to "how many pet reptiles is too many," for 98% of people, is "however many Corval has."
Hey corval, if you could pick one thing you'd want people to remember about you hundred and hundreds of sweeps after your death what would it be
"Oh, well, uhh... That's a lot of sweeps. I don't think I need to be known for that long. Maybe an offhanded mention about my contributions to the reptile pet trade?"
Hey corval, if you had to have a different job from the one you have now, what do you think you'd pick?
"Uhhh... Do I have to? I really don't see myself doing anything else. I guess I'd just work with Zavi full time."
Hi Corval! I wouldn't dare ask your favorite, so instead what's the rarest reptile you own?
"Well, that's just as difficult, hahah! I breed rare reptiles and run my own sort of pet business, so I've got a lot of hard to find beauties. It also depends on what type of rare you mean! Saffron here is rare as a pet. Very few people can or should take care of a reticulated python, and I'm lucky that mine is incredibly tame and used to my presence. She likes being handled and I'm big and strong enough to not have to worry as much about a severe accident."
You shift the gigantic snake on your shoulders. She's easier for you to handle, but still quite heavy!
"I'm also working on establishing good lines for some rare color morphs of a handful of species. I've got some good pairs of blue phase green tree pythons, for one, and a couple of ball python projects going to swap with other breeders for genetic diversity.
"Then you've got the just plain scarce critters that I work on captive breeding. I just got a second Boelen's python that I am really hoping I can pair, but it's best not to get my nor anyone else's hopes up for that actually happening... I'm predicting that if their enclosure is big enough and similar enough to their natural habitat, I can trick them into thinking they're not in captivity. Typically, export of Boelen's pythons is from people finding brooding females and taking the newborns once they hatch, so I'm thinking if I can simulate that in a technically enclosed space it'd be my best shot."
Hi Corval!!! What do you do? What's your deal? :3
"Oh! Hi there!"
You weren't expecting to see someone! You have to stop a little suddenly in your tracks.
"Uh, well, do you mean, like, in general? Or right now? Right now I'm moving Rocky Road to a temp enclosure to clean out his regular one. In general I do that but for a lot of reptiles."
corval collects stupid shirts like zavi collects stupid hats. like this one
its really good. his sprites have 7 now
❄️ for ummm Corv...
Corval is helping his pal Zavi put up holiday decor. He's much taller than Zavi, you see, he's so much better at hanging up lights and whatnot.
