58: Favourite weather?

i love like, the time right before a storm, if that makes sense?? like you can feel and see it coming but the air is cool and there’s a little bit of a breeze, maybe a light rain. it’s my favorite time to open the window and draw :)

lots of things!! playing games/talking with my pals, talking about my silly little ocs, rainy weather & dogs. also going on long drives, stars & yellow :)

another absolute BOP, i love this song i used to listen to it while riding my bike home from school in japan and i felt like i was in a coming of age movie,,,, its also on Lilt’s oc playlist, it’s about when they start realising how fucked up the ncr, house, and the legion really are, and start talking with all the companions (mainly arcade) about what can be done so that people can be happy and it’s like,,, one of the few big brain moments they have in their story!

7. How does your character express anger? Do they have a short temper, do they bury their rage until they burst, or can they handle it well?

Coyote has a short fuse. Almost anything sets her off, and she doesn’t believe in concepts like “restraint” or “maturity”. When she’s mad she’s mad, and she always believes she’s in the right. The only time she’d every keep her cool is if she’s in a situation where doing something drastic could get her killed (see: The Fort) and if that happens she’s just biding her time to get her revenge later. Coyote holds grudges and will stop at nothing to get back at someone that’s cheated her, as is the case with Benny and many others. 

A quick way to get her shit list is to create a contrived supervillian situation where she is forced to do something (i.e Elijah) steal something from her (Benny) or cheat her out of caps. Coyote believes mercy is just setting yourself up to be stabbed in the back (and in the wasteland, that’s often true). If someone does wrong, she believes killing them is the best option. Dead men don’t cause problems (e.g St James the slaver). Her violent disposition is suited towards the rougher parts of the wasteland, but it gets her in trouble whenever she enters more civilised areas. 

Even though she’s an adult she has a pretty immature way of handling her emotions. Coyote never had any good role models when she was younger, and when she was older she had to rely on herself and only herself to get by. Any remaining idea of trust or friendship quickly dissolved when faced with the harsh realities of living in New Reno and the untamed areas of the wasteland. Coyote is a product of her environment, and her environment taught her to look out for number 1.

She also has a habit of being bitey.

8. Does your character have any particular pet peeves that irritate them?

People who are smarter than her. People who try and assert authority over her. NCR. Legion. Bear traps and anyone who’s smart enough to set traps. Snipers, when they’re not on her side. Veronica. When the cap on the sarsparilla won’t twist off. Getting her socks wet. Getting her gun wet because she’s gonna have to clean it before it rusts. Paying for things. Not being able to find that one final part to make something at the workbench. Bratty kids. The list goes on.

9. Is there anything that anyone who knows better should avoid bringing up to your character (i.e., any conversational landmines)?

Arcade learned pretty quickly that he’d have to tone down the big words if he wanted Coyote to actually listen to him. Calling her a junkie whore or making any sort of allusions to the fact that she’s basically wasteland trash - comes from the lowest of the low - will earn you a few missing teeth pretty quickly (even though its the truth). A few perceptive individuals will notice some of the scars on her face are older than the others, but if it comes up she’ll avoid the topic rather than lash out straight away.
