“Yeah, because we always leave before we get into trouble,” Cory joked.
“Okay let’s get this over with.” It took a bit of convincing, but Cory had finally agreed to go with the other to meet their parents. “But don’t expect me not to say I told you so when they don't like me.”
Cory looked away when the other chided her for getting into a fight in the first place. “I didn’t see any knife,” she said as they helped clean out her new knife wound.
“I swear to god, if I see that jerk try and put his hand on her leg one more time, I am going to get up and go over there,” Cory said, looking past her friend at two strangers in the bar they were in. “She so clearly doesn't want him there.” Then it happened the guy placed his hand on the woman’s leg and Cory stood up. “I’m going over there.” she took a step, then she looked back at her friend. “You’re not going to stop me?” She asked looking at the other. She was so used to her sister pleading with her not to start a fight.
“Hey, I’m with you, okay? Always,” Cory said, hoping to help calm them down.
When you hear a anemones noise in an alley, you run away, not toward it. At least, that’s what Cory learned when she was growing up. Now, her friend was going straight in the direction of the strange noise. “Get back here, we don’t know what that thing is.” Cory said in a hushed voice and she followed her friend.
Cory: Hey
Cory: This is Cory, from the coffee shop
“Don’t you dare side with that asshole,” Cory said through gritted teeth as she continued to punch. “He hurt you, that is never okay.”
