Mexican fine dining, not sold by the concept! Lunch came to about US$95 per person after tips for 2 courses and one cocktail and a dessert between 4, which I find very poor in value given the simple food and the many better options at this price range. The food didn't blow our minds - everything was simple and well done but a bit on the boring side. @ Cosme, NYC

Wednesday dinner at Cosme--number 96 on the World’s 50 Best restaurants led by chef de cuisine Daniela Soto-Innes who at 25 won the James Beard Rising Star of 2016. Quite a fitting way to celebrate international women's day. Likely the best Mexican food in the city. Uni tostadas, tlayudas, lengua, tortillas, cobias, tamales and many more all day. Our friends in the kitchen kept them going and even visited our table when they had a chance. Super food and experience. So great we almost didn't notice our servilleta was burning. Oops.
