Ep 17- The shortest auxiliary mission / Magical girl throws down with a dragon
Time to get Drago back, baby!!
“Finally! We’re about to hit the Vexos where it really hurts. You’re not thinking of backing out now, are you?” Ace, I trusted you! How dare you betray me by still not trusting me at all!!
Crystals gone, but you’re still unable to brawl- Fun!! /s
“Spectra’s gonna go all out in this next battle. You can win, just don’t forget what I’ve taught you!” But... What did you teach me, Shun? DOTCmc learnt to brawl off of Dan, not you, and you’ve only been around full time for the last three missions!
There are only three guards in this longass hallway. If you want to Core energy farm, do so here. It’s the easiest auxiliary mission.
Stealth tool your way through. Or sneak, because the robot guards rotate.
I’ve never realised until now how weird it is to have figurines of bakugan laying around. For the love of Abyss, the Battle Brawler bakugan that aren’t Drago are still statues in DOTC; can you imagine showing the Resistance a statuette of one of their bakugan?
Core Energy galore. Woo!
Ok, so; Energy farming. How you do it is, you save the mission once, then return to Marucho’s plane. Then start the mission again and get all the core energy. Return to Marucho’s plane, and repeat from there until you’ve farmed as much core energy as you want. It works on any auxiliary mission. Easy way to upgrade to your hearts content!
You can save in between returns to Marucho’s plane, btw, if you want.
The theme for the area is makes the area look like an insult- epic music, but it’s a long corridor.
“Well, Well. Look who it is. Drago, aren’t you happy to see him?” Colossal roar
He’s so gonna try to murder us. That’s what happens after a lot of crystal exposure, I guess? He stomps towards you, anyway.
Elfin time!
Ok, so the electrostasis bubbles are in fact in three battles.
DOTCmc is now in the “I’m doing whatever I must, and no one can stop me” mood. It only took him 15 missions to get him here, which is more time than it took BBBmc to get there. Murderous tone is here too!
“Drago... he’s like the awesomest Bakugan ever. Don’t let him get ya from above and... try not to hurt him!” Dan, please stop tearing my heartstrings out.
Dan goes from Sad to Hyped within 5 seconds. Good to know.
That was a quick brawl... Although I do wonder how Drago lands flat on his back with the massive spine spike he has.
“And that’s how you win a brawl!” According to Elfin’s teachings... Douse the dragon in enough water and you can beat it.
“If I had more power, I’d’ve won easily...” Spectra then promptly goes wormhole jumping. Into the core of the Earth. How he doesn’t land in the lava is beyond me.
Ok, so they can actually understand their bakugan, they just can’t use them in battle.
“Dan!!” Drago is happy to see you too.
Dan is the only Resistance member to pick up his bakugan before you do. Everyone else takes theirs momentarily from you, and then gives them back (besides Shun)
He says Spectra used the perfect core remnants in his reborn body (From Neo Dragonoid onwards) to get to Abyss, but I’m still sure he needed some of Abyss’ energy to truly locate her, which is why I feel Hyper Dragonoid is a much bigger threat in the Vexos’ hands than just Neo Dragonoid- Abyss hasn’t evolved him yet.
“I’ve found the last bakugan trap to make Maxus Drago! He’s going to be unstoppable!” Marucho, your optimism is cute, but DOTCmc started the game by beating Maxus Drago using an unupgraded Neo Dragonoid. I don’t think unstoppable is true. Also, he gets Spitarm last.
Shock! Horror! It’s... Something we’ve seen before. Why is it shocking to see Maxus Helios?? Is it because he’s in front of Abyss’ crystal?
“Spectra, stop!” Mira, that’s not going to work.
Mira looks so defeated when saying “Show him what it means to fight for something you believe in!” because she’s slouching backwards a bit, and looks dazed... Or that may be because her eyes look a little dead on account of being a Vestal.
Angry boys, but then there’s forever smiling Marucho.

Ep 17 - Goodbye Abyss.
Maxus Helios has 150% health.
51 combo can be achieved on Maxus Drago.
Abyss has a really nice speaking portrait.
“Please, destroy me. It’s the only way!” The only time the must be willing to destroy something to protect it phrase has ever made sense to me. Defenders of the Core? Destroyers of the Core.
Abyss’ crystal genuinely looks like a heart, which is accurate for the life blood energy of the Earth.
Goodbye, Abyss... Why is your crystal still there?
Helios can be defeated now. Good!
Quick battle, after Abyss dies, at least.
“No! My plans! Ruined! No!!” Spectra is a mood.
Abyss rebirths herself, and reverses the crystal curse as a result. Now you can brawl.
“Good to have you back, Baron!” Aww... Nemus is a sweetheart.
“It was tough, but we made it! Let’s not go through this again, ok?” Percival is gonna lose his shit when he finds out about newgame+ (aka, Maxus Helios playthrough)
“Mira! It’s nice to see you smiling for once!” Wh... What was that, Wilda?
(Doing two lines here, bc my heart--) “Ingram!! I’ll never lose you again!” “You did everything you could; don’t blame yourself.”
“Yup! Did you miss me?” Elfin is as Elfin as ever.
“The feeling is mutual, old friend.” Drago’s happy to be able to brawl with Dan, basically.
Mira tries to convince Spectra to stop being Spectra here, but I know damn well he’s gonna betray her again.
The Core’s collapsing, because Abyss’ crystal is gone.
Baron is crying, and I think Ace is smiling because we’re leaving. At least he says thanks for the help??
“Now that we can brawl again, it’ll be a cinch to free the other brawlers and send the rest of the Vexos packing!” Dan I don’t like what you just implied. Let me help you free themmmmm.
“Most importantly, I learnt what it means to fight for something I really believe in.” DOTCmc finally figured out that fighting for the sake of his existence not being in permanent danger is a good idea.
“Don’t forget about us!” 1, no one in the fandom did, 2, DOTCmc basically lives with his Resistance; he can’t.
“Hahahahahahahah!” “What’s so funny?! Do you know how worried we were?!” “Well, he appears to be fine.” “So, what was the problem?” “There were no problems with the installation!” “I think it was just a freak incident; let’s battle one more time, Dan!” “Say what? You sure you didn’t hit your head?” “Maybe he’s not ok after all... I’ll run some tests!”
TIL, DOTCmc disliked brawling so much that, apparently, him wanting to brawl is very worrying.

Ep 15- Ingram is used for once!
Serena/Shaymin only uses Ingram in their Maxus Drago run once, and it’s for this battle. As an Ingram main, I feel like that’s not enough times.
Only now do we question how many more crystals there are. This is the second to last crystal involved mission, so about... 9 left at this point, 10 if we count Abyss.
If you used Ingram in the last battle, Shun will only now realise you rescued her. And there’s no way she hasn’t evolved by the time he realises this. He sounds so touched too...
The Vexos really make a mess of the USA levels.
“Maybe the buildings are in the way?” Baron is a genius. Shun, go scout for them, you jumpy boy.
“Let’s go find a better vantage point!” D... DOTCmc, Shun is right there. He can jump buildings!! Dear lord, they only remembered he could do this when he did it in the UK, huh...
Vexos Crystals genuinely start earthquakes when they’re set up.
Switch in an awkward place (side of building next to stairs). Which is a smart placement...Finally!
Item boxes, but they’re actually well hidden for once.
Mylene is upset she didn’t trick DOTCmc. And then Shadow appears for the sake of fun, and payback (which he inevitably fails at delivering. Poor Shadow...)
Elico appears for the first, and only, time! Three battles from now is the Final battle.

The electrostasis bubbles finally reappeared... But this is the second battle they ever exist in.
Why are there two suns in the sky
Needle Storm is Cathartic (tm), as is Ingram’s speed and melee capabilities. This is why I main her.
“I will win at any cost!” Unlike the rest of the Resistance, Ingram? The rest seem to be bound by both an honour code, and obliviousness.
“Hmph. I don’t get it.” Mylene, you’re underestimating how plot armour works.
Given that they never appeared in the anime (with exception of Hyper Dragonoid), I’m tempted to redesign the Abyss evolved Resistance bakugan... Since they appear as their Attribute Energy evolved versions during battle.
(also excluding Cosmic Ingram, but that’s because I already gave her a design)
