If Ace not waving his fists at Dan at all, for the whole of DOTC, doesn’t convince you that the alternate world (that DOTC takes place in) isn’t super weird, then Shun being the sweetheart of the group towards MC, even before he’s introduced to MC at all, should really be able to convince you.

For context, I headcanon DOTCmc to be firstgameMC's twin.

Either DOTCmc was too terrified to start, until he was convinced he'll be ok by all of the brawlers (and his twin for good measure.)

Or an accident happened that made him pointblank refuse to brawl ever again, to which he, again, had to be convinced.

The accident was likely the Battle Ax Vladitor battle at the end of the first game. He could also almost have been squished at least twice by bakugan, which would be a good reason to be terrified. If he did brawl back then, he used ventus.

This may be super weird sounding, but hear me out. The relationship between DOTCmc and Ace hits me as kind of like...

A brawler who only ever knows their partnered bakugan is there, because they constantly harass and attack them in ball form. The brawler only pays attention to the bakugan when it stops attacking them for more than two hours, at least.

Ace is prophetic about the vexos- they do want more than just Drago

Ep 12 - Dragone / Mira backstabs and immediately regrets it

Ace calls Mira out to the player for being suspicious. He's gonna have a fit when he finds out he was right.
