It’s been an incredibly long time since we last heard from Australian synthpop duo Strange Talk. Aside from a few singles a couple of years ago, the last time Strange Talk gave us a sumptuous amount of tunes was back in 2014, when they released their album Cast Away. This month, Strange Talk finally resurface with Cosmic Synchronicity. Prepare for a cascade of prismatic synths and aureate beats as Strange Talk inspires us to get up and dance to their vibrant tune, a truly cosmic experience that seems to launch us right into spinning orbit with its ebullient vibrancy. Their hybrid of indie electronica and synthy pop even carries a hint of Phoenix’s sleek melodious spryness, which drenches us in much wondrous nostalgia. Strange Talk is working on their next EP, so I suspect we have more gems to share soon. Cosmic Synchronicity can also be streamed via Spotify, here.

Been wanting to draw Theia stuff again for the first time in a while, so here's Potato and Muffin grabbing some food after the former picked the latter up from baseball practice. Muffin's at that age where he's starting to go from kids' meals to the adults' menu, so he's in awe at the size of burger he gets to eat now! :D

Muffin Russet

A young boy with a love for baseball, and Potato's little brother. He is a free spirit and can be fairly foolhardy, but also has major confidence issues typical of a middle school kid. He thinks Muffin is a childish name, and prefers to be called Fin around his peers. He wants to join his school's baseball team, but those confidence issues have a way of keeping him from trying out. Like Potato, Muffin is incredibly family-oriented, and has even hit a kid for making fun of their dad and step-dad.

Weapon - Junior Slugger bat A baseball bat that was given to Muffin by his parents as both a birthday present and a victory gift for his little league team's successes earlier that year. As such, it has a lot of sentimental value to it, even if it doesn't get a lot of use in actual games due to the league his team's in insisting on players use equipment supplied by the organizers rather than the player's preferred equipment to prevent cheating (and, y'know, advertising sponsorship and such).

*sobs* It's been sooooo loooong since I've drawn anything Theia-related that wasn't part of some crossover ;w; Anyway I forget what exactly spurned this on, I think there was a conversation where the other person briefly got Indigo and Calypso confused (understandable, similar names and all), but either way Indigo has met Calypso and she’s shapeshifted into her near copy as a bit of a joke or tease. ...also remember that at the time Calypso's around, Indigo is an old person, so it's an elder teasing the kids these days hehe X3

Nova

One of three beings that were once a singular entity responsible for creating the universe. Nova is the most serious of the three, and for the most part is cold and distanced. However, he harbors an anger streak that he is often able to keep under control, but under extreme conditions he will let it erupt. This is when he nearly literally explodes and as a result transforms into a black creature that absorbs anything he comes across—the excess of which is flooded through Quasar through some sort of shared connection. Only Nebula is able to pull him out of this state.

Altered State - Singularity Nova's rage-induced state, taking on the properties of a black hole. While in this form, he can't prevent himself from absorbing anything he comes across, with all excess energy and the energy converted from the mass absorbed being filtered out through Quasar in a process known as the Cosmic Scream. Nebula is the only person who can help Nova revert to his normal form when in Singularity.

AND THEY’RE DONE! Aaaaaaaah nice. Also I’m glad I finally got a design down for Nova’s altered form, even though it’s...noooot quite as different as the normal version, hehe. XD
