What is brickspace? Ive been trying to find out but cant find anything
Brickspace is just a term used to describe offline life. I took it from the term “brick and mortar” which is used to describe physical storefronts, to distinguish them from online marketplaces.
The more common designation you’re probably familiar with is IRL/”real life”. I don’t like using “real life” to describe offline life because it implies there’s a lack of reality to what happens in digital social interaction and I think that’s already too prevalent a belief. Some people use meatspace, but I decided I liked brickspace better. :)
