It's officially been a year since I joined @cosmiccoterie! @spacecadet_cosplay brought me along on craft day this time last year to teach the girls how to do hip rolls and sleeves with upholstery foam. Little did I know what I was getting into! Lol. I was so, so nervous, but the girls were so inviting and kind. We've had an insane year, but I'm thrilled to be a part of this team and call these fantastic women my closest friends. Hey folks! I'm knee deep in @akon_convention prep, but I'm also planning out scheduling for my June commissions. I've got two fukus in my queue. Since several of you have asked about video tutorials, I was thinking about streaming the making of these. I tend to sew during weird hours (6am before I go into my 9-5 most often), so I'm looking into services with archiving capabilities. Would y'all be interested? If so, what nights would you prefer for a live stream? I don't always enjoy handsewing, but when I do, it's with a dreary day, a mug of tea, and puppy cuddles 💖💖💖 Quick overview of how I made these: I got a pair of white gloves from @welovecolorscosplay, then dyed them in 2 parts brown/1 part black idye Poly. After rinsing the excess dye and putting them through a cold wash, I cut off the fingertips. For the bands, I cut a tube of gold neoprene as small bands and dos the tiniest back stitch I could muster by hand for each finger.
