Deep in the vacuum of space, away from the peering optics of the Autobots and the scrutiny of the Decepticons, Cosmos sat huddled inside of his most prized possession—a little hut built entirely on his own (with a bit of help here and there from Blast Off, of course), stocked entirely with his own favorite human items, and filled with plenty of the tastiest snacks from around the galaxy that he could get his servos on.
It was movie night, as it was every other Friday night according to Earth’s calendars, and tonight, he was going to be doing nothing but lounging on an old, beaten up sofa Blast Off had transported for him with the coziest of blankets tossed over his lap and the tastiest of his stock of treats tucked into the empty space on the cushions.
The biweekly movie night wasn’t the only special thing about that day, as while Cosmos got to sit cozied under his blankets and comfy with his snacks in easy reach, he had a whole day of excitement behind him to wind down from—and beside him sat Blast Off, looking just as cozy and just as comfy as he slung an arm over the sofa’s back and leaned in close to Cosmos’ side.
Blast Off had showed up early that afternoon, much to Cosmos’ surprise. It was all apart of a spur of the moment plan, though, according to Blast Off. They were going to have their regular movie night as always… but before that, Blast Off demanded that Cosmos allow himself to be treated to the fancy new restaurant that showed up on the block that the two had been discussing on and off for days leading up to their routine meetup.
It had been a great day, and Cosmos had loved every second of it. After dinner at the restaurant and a few stops along the way back to Cosmos’ cozy little hut for snacks—something that Blast Off insisted on, as he claimed Cosmos’ regular stock of movie night treats was “questionable as of late”—the two finally made their way inside, on the sofa, and in front of the beaten up old television that only ever played the cleanest and most scratch-free of the DVDs in Cosmos’ not-so-humble collection.
They were settled in now, a bowl of Blast Off’s favorite sweets sat between them and an old rom-com Cosmos had plucked from a pile of movies he knew Blast Off always pretended not to like playing on the small television screen. The little hut was warm against outer space’s cold atmosphere, and beneath the blankets and beside Blast Off’s big, bulky frame, Cosmos felt the most cozy he had felt in a long time.
Things were off to a perfect start for their movie night, and Blast Off’s good-natured scowling at the lovey couples showing on the screen had Cosmos giggling in mere minutes. Even the gurgling in his belly and the strong sensation of things tossing and turning as his tanks worked to digest the rich, heavy meal didn’t bother him as he leaned back against the sofa’s cushions and smiled at another dry comment Blast Off dropped about the lead actor’s unnatural beauty.
It didn’t bother him much at all, really… until, that is, it started to become a nuisance.
Cosmos didn’t realize just how much dinner was affecting him until they were settled in for their movie night, but by then, he was far too invested to make much of a fuss about it. Blast Off was comfortable where he sat pressed up against Cosmos’ side and practically wrapped around him, and Cosmos didn’t want to leave the warm cocoon of blankets around his lap and shuttle against his side.
When the gurgling in Cosmos’ belly got quieter, however, and the pressure in his tanks as they fought to digest moved lower, he started to get a little concerned.
Nervously, Cosmos shifted, hoping to find relief. The food was sitting heavy in his tanks now, and the size of the meal was starting to feel like a mistake. He could feel it in his belly, swelling him out from the inside and leaving him stuffed and bloated on the outside.
It wasn’t a bad feeling when he was snuggled with Blast Off on the couch together. Blast Off had a similar curve to his midsection that became more prominent every time he shifted closer and pointed at the scene playing on the little television, and Cosmos found himself blushing hard every time he turned to catch a peak of the soft pudge and curving belly spilling out onto Blast Off’s lap from his slouched position.
Definitely not bad at all, Cosmos thought… until your tanks started to rebel against you, that is.
He could feel it bubbling beneath his plating when he ran his fingers over the curve of his own belly, his servo hidden beneath the blankets. Cosmos kept glancing out of the corner of his optics at Blast Off, hoping not to be spotted as he struggled to sort himself out.
Stuffing themselves silly was nothing new for them—in fact, it was usually the plan as often as they could make it happen. Cosmos liked seeing Blast Off all rounded out by a good meal, and Blast Off always seemed to take some sort of pleasure in stuffing Cosmos with as much food as he could manage to hold. That was nothing new, and that wasn’t the problem. The problem was that—
grroouuugglleee….
—Cosmos was gassy. It wasn’t just a ‘gurgle in his tanks that left after a good belly rub’ gassy, either. No, he could feel it… and he could feel it as it headed further and further down his belly and slowly inched towards the deep end of his guts.
“These romance films, always the same,” Blast Off muttered beside him with that same particular edge of affection to his voice he always carried when they watched rom-coms together. “The humans spend so much time piddling around when they could be spending it confessing to their obvious love for one another!”
Cosmos managed a small sound of agreement, then squeaked in surprise as Blast Off leaned in a little closer as he made himself comfortable. He reached a servo into the bowl between them and tossed a mouthful of sweets into his mouth, then glanced down at Cosmos’ with a curious expression.
“You’ve been awfully quiet throughout this whole ordeal. Usually by now you’d have been telling me off for trying to rush the magic of ‘true love’.” He made a show of waving a servo in emphasis of the statement. “What’s going on?”
“I guess I’m just too enchanted by the unnatural beauty of the guy on the screen, as you put it,” Cosmos said with a weak shrug.
Blast Off didn’t appear convinced, but he accepted the answer with a small, disapproving sound. He shifted again, his weight taken off of Cosmos’ side for a brief moment, before readjusting himself and snuggling in closer.
“If you say so,” he scoffed. After another mouthful from the bowl of snacks between them, he added, “I just want to know where they get the humans for these roles. You’d think they’d make it a bit more believable, right?”
This time, Cosmos didn’t have it in him to answer. The pressure in his belly was building up fast, and it took everything in him not to let loose right then and there. It didn’t help that Blast Off was all but on top of him now, and between the shuttle’s big frame and soft belly taking up the little wiggle room Cosmos’ had—and the way the rickety old sofa shook beneath them every time Blast Off moved closer—Cosmos wasn’t sure that he’d be able to keep it all inside for much longer.
He tried to, at least. Really, he tried. As the two main characters met on the screen for the first time, Blast Off leaned forward, his attention fixated on the tension of the scene. Beside him, Cosmos tried to make himself more comfortable and failed miserably.
The two humans were inches apart, their gazes locked. Blast Off sat waiting, anticipating the first kiss—
bbbbrrrrRRRRRRRRRP!
Beside him, Cosmos yelped out in surprise. That wasn’t supposed to have come out… and it wasn’t supposed to have been so loud! Blast Off’s attention was snatched away from the television and back on him in an instant, and for a long, terrifying moment, Cosmos was afraid that the shuttle would up and take off right then and there from the sheer repulsion of the incident.
“Finally,” Blast Off all but laughed. “I was starting to think I’d have to be the first one to admit that the dinner we had earlier was really starting to get to me!”
Cosmos sat frozen with wide optics as Blast Off tore free from his side before shifting around on the sofa until he had a pede propped on the cushion and his aft tilted towards the air. It was a little more than shocking to see the shuttle rubbing his belly as he forced out a long, loud, and trumpeting sound from his exhaust pipe that rivaled the meager and embarrassing fart Cosmos had accidentally let escape, but once it was happening, Cosmos couldn’t go back from seeing it with his own optics.
“For the record,” Blast Off groaned, waving the hot, smoky air clear with one servo while he continued to rub his pudgy belly with the other, “I did not do that, okay? My gas is few and far between, and I am never seen by any other living Cybertronian when I am in need of a chance to… ahem. Break wind.”
Cosmos stammered and stared before he managed to find his words, but by then, Blast Off was already snuggling up close to him again… and this time, the shuttle’s big, warm servos were settling right on top of Cosmos’ belly.
“A little something to take the edge off,” he said as he worked small, firm circles into the taut mesh. “I’d ask for the same in return, but I think my tanks need a bit of time to settle first.”
“Right,” Cosmos managed to say. “Fair. Um… is this—are we—?”
“Only because it’s you, Cosmos,” Blast Off said.
He had that same gruff, grumpy tone to him, but just like when he spoke about the rom-coms he claimed to loathe, there was a hidden note of affection to his voice. In addition, Cosmos was almost sure he caught a hint of deep, prideful adoration, too… though that may have been pushing it.
Cosmos didn’t think too long on that. He didn’t think too much about the flutter in his spark when he relaxed under Blast Off’s touch, either, or the way he felt like the two humans in the movie they were watching while they snuggled up close and soothed each other’s tanks… and—when necessary—let loose a little bit of the extra air caught inside.
Something told him Blast Off felt the same. Cosmos didn’t ask about that, either. Between the belly rubs, chuckling over the gas bubbling in the air, and the long, knowing looks they shot each other between catching an especially romantic moment on the television… he really didn’t need to.
It wasn’t the sweet and spicy little love story he would have expected, but slag, Cosmos loved it all the same. Blast Off didn’t need to say so, either. Cosmos could tell he loved it, too.
And the second Valentines Day picture: Cosmos x Blast Off
I wanted to do background by myself rather than just using stock space image and went overboard with effects.
