I reaaaally want to do an ascendance of a bookworm cosplay one day, probably myne. But I also reaaaaally don't want to show my face. The only solution I got is making up a veil with Erhenfest (Or myne) crest, much like aurelia's veil. It's either that or spending 500 in a custom kigurumi head...

it makes me sad to see how so many people expect artists, cosplayers, writers, editors, etc to be posting content 24/7 and get mad when they aren't capable of doing that to their standards...like we are only human, we have lives, personal stuff to go through, we get tired to the point of burnout sometimes, we run out of ideas! and that's completely normal, no one can be at the top of their game all the time, we need time to rest our minds, search for inspo and grow! but the way some people behave towards creatives is so demotivating...we are not machines, you cannot expect us to behave like one.

People have always been very patient with me and i /still/ feel bad when i dont post something for a couple of days bc of this mindset i see all over the internet! its sick!! And lately ive seen people get complaints by others for not posting much or being "up to their standard" and im so mad. It's so so tiring and it really doesn't help to get most of us motivated to put out more stuff or try to be more creative.

I want to rant about something a bit more personal. I created this blog to be cringe and free and not burden my friends anymore with my stupid screenshots, arts and durgetash obsession.

Bg3 is a big art fuel for me, especially Durge and Gortash for many reasons. I am a cosplayer IRL, working on two versions of my Durge and it PAINS me that I will have no Gortash to share my future studio photoshoot with. Nobody wants to participate in this project of mine, I have so many ideas, I kind of want to tell their story in photos, props and costumes but now I am 100% sure I will have to do this alone.

On the other hand, it would be quite challenging to arrange the studio myself and try to tell a story and bring up emotions without a second person beside me. But I will try to do my best when the time comes.

It bothers me to no extend that people are comfortable being racist towards *specifically* dark skin cosplayers under the guise of "accuracy" when more than half of the people cosplaying anime characters aren't even near the same skin tone... Just admit you're racist and shut up tbh. I'm so tired of seing friends leave the hobby behind because they can't even cosplay their fave characters without a swarm of angry private-profile neckbeards that have never left mom's basement, let alone smelled fresh air.

I got the pants, and I don't really like them. Lighter color than I expected, and thinner material. Equestrian riding pants didn't used to be just glorified yoga pants. I've got nothing against yoga pants, but it's a shame how they've cheapened virtually every other market of form-fitting pants.

But, I found some brown sweatpants on amazon that might work better, and I could even sew additional material down the sides (maybe, I don't even own a sewing machine...) to mimic the look of additional protection.

Progress is slow, but we'll get there!

I wanted to do a closet cosplay of Reggie from Twelve Forever because

1) I really liked the show

2) Reggie is me at 12, like no questions. Weird, gross, scared of growing up? The gross girl rep was super appreciated. Did I collect my scabs? No but it sounds like something I would have done. I did keep fingernails in a box and wipe boogers on the walls.

3) It looked like an outfit I could reasonably put together with stuff I already have or a quick Goodwill run. I could paint the shoes to be different, I have a wig because my Blossom (PPG) wig is perfect, and a white shirt and black leggings are things I own.

But those PANTS. Bell bottomy yellow Capri pants??!? They don’t exist. I have some gray and black ones that are similar but they don’t have belt loops. Also they’re high waisted. I can only assume that Reggie TwelveForever stole a pair of 60s Bell Bottoms that were way too big for her, pulled them up over her waist, cut the legs off and belted them in place, because WTF

A friend just sent me this photo she found on her phone last night. This is at PAXaus2017 and was the first time I'd worn Pennywise and I hadn't done any weathering on it because I'd finished styling the wig about an hour before I shoved it all in a car to drive 14 hours to Melbourne. Which is also why my wig looks like shit.

That isn't the point though.

This is not a good memory.

The other Pennywise in this photo had followed me and my friend through the con until I sat down, had taken off my gloves, wrist and neck ruffles, and started painting and then told me he'd been watching me and could we please take a photo.

This is a photo of me remaining calm as he confessed, "I followed you for like an hour, you looked busy cause you didn't really stop."

Edit: I was just told it wasn't actually the Pennywise who'd followed us around, it was a dude a few minutes before. The story still stands but I'm glad I put an alien on his face cause he did nothing wrong. (¬_¬)

Don't stalk cosplayers.

Please? I know it's a public place and it's fun that we're all dressed up and you want to say hi but don't follow us around for an hour?!

This guy was lucky he didn't get a tiny paintbrush shoved in his eye.

My tolerance for creepy behaviour is pretty fucking high. I don't get freaked out easily. Honestly, this incident didn't panic me but that doesn't mean it's acceptable or it wouldn't have panicked someone else.

There was a similar incident later on the same day where a guy approached me while I was alone and having a drink, he told me he liked my costume, that fine.

He told me he was a cosplayer too, also fine.

He asked for my social media info, I gave him my public cosplay page, this is fine.

He say no I want your personal, not fine.

He pushed when I said no, he followed me around the convention for almost 45 minutes, trying to stay out of my line of sight.

He only stopped when I found a friend who was working the con and he pulled me into an employee only area.

It was not a good time.

And here's the thing. If you're willing to stalk a girl who looks like this.

What are you going to be like with a girl who's dressed like a fairy princess or someone innocent?
