It's been a while...been dealing with life in general and post-vacation sadness, but I've finally gone through my vacation pictures and videos and will start posting the best of Geralita of Rivia's debut!
Had a blast this past weekend! More pictures to come.
So, I ended up taking the wig to a wig parlor. It looked fine on the foam head, but when I put it on MY head the ends looked so choppy and terrible. I could have gotten away with using it, but wanted to do better. So it got a trim while on my head, and now it's much more convincing. Luckily I had left it on the long-ish side, so there was still plenty to work with while not making it too short.
I'm going to a renaissance fair in a few weeks, and the costume is pretty much done! Going to stop at a few of the pop-up Halloween shops just in case I find any last minute accessories that would add nicely to it, but it is ready!
I actually took some pics and vids during my last full trial run, but have yet to go through them and post anything wort posting. Will try to get the time to.

Geraltia wig 2.0 has been trimmed, going to try it on in a bit and hope I don't have to do any more trimming!

I guess it's platinum blonde? But not Witcher White! It's OK though, I have a plan. A cheap and easy plan (the best type of plan!) to lighten it a bit. The shampoo has already been ordered!
I attempted to fix the front of the wig, where it didn't lay flat or naturally where the hairline meets the forehead, and ended up kind of ruining it. I didn't really like the way I trimmed the ends anyway, so I used it as an excuse to buy a new wig, with a lace-front this time. I think it will work out much better. Still new to this, didn't even know what a lace-front wig was before. I may take it to my stylist for length trim this time...I'm not ordering a third one if I ruin it!

I may have found a solution to the problem of not being able to wear the cat eye contacts...
I'm super sensitive to sunlight anyway, can get headaches from it if I don't wear sunglasses, so why not just wear sunglasses....GERALT STYLE
A bit disappointed, because I've been practicing with the free sample contacts I got from the eye doctor, and I just can't seem to get them in! I've been trying for several days, looked for hacks on youtube and such, still no luck. My squinting reflex is super sensitive, and combined with my somewhat small eyes, I'm not sure I will be able to have Witcher cat eyes.
Will keep trying for a while. Anyone have any helpful advise for a 1st time contact wearer?

I have so much more respect for hair stylists now! (I mean, I did before, but even more so now.) It's certainly not perfect but I'm going to try it out and see how it works. I'm afraid to cut any more off at this point, I took around 4-5 inches already.
And my helper has turned into an Afghan Hound 😆
