“Is that a big caterpillar or are you just happy to se me?”

While i was studying for an entomology exam, this very big and colorfull larva in particular took my attention. It’s an exemplar of Cossus cossus, better know as “goat moth”, a kind of moth pretty common in the forest near my university.

I don’t know if you can see it well (i’m not that good as a photographer) but this worm is REALLY big.

This is Cossus cossus, a caterpillar that don't feed on leaves. It lives in wood until it turns into a moth.
