The Cost of Peace
It’s not too much to ask to go about your life knowing you have support, so that you can get on with your life, without the concern, the worry and the upset.
"If it's at the cost of your peace, it's too expensive." - Howard Boone Jr.
The Pandemic
The pandemic has seen the biggest change and to mental health, but Brexit was the catalyst for the start of that change. I can't speak for other governments, but in the UK currently, you’re looking at more repressive laws and less democracy. I speak my truth and I speak the universal truths.
"There cannot be peace and stability as long as there is oppression and suppression." - HHDL
It's something I continue to fight for through my platform @TheCPDiary - I continue to bring understanding, a voice to society, to the world, so that you can find your own peace... my platform is 'the voice of the people'.
The day after the night before, the 19th June, 2022 the UK got the result it needed, the result it's been fighting for over "partygate." Backing the committee’s findings into Mr Johnson's conduct, that Boris Johnson repeatedly lied to MPs and committed multiple serious contempts of Parliament. MPs approved the Privileges Committee report by 354 votes to 7, majority 347. (Source: expresscouk).
UK and Brexit
Also, in 2016 when the referendum was called, we lost our freedom. Freedom to travel to the EU, to work and holiday in the EU. As a result of Brexit, even though the majority of politicians won't admit, we're now in a cost-of-living crisis. If you’re well off, you’re pretty much okay, but if you’re not, the crisis will have already bitten.
People are struggling to put food on their table, to heat their homes. Pets are being reluctantly given up, sent to charities because families can't afford the extra expense. These are real life stories. They affect you and me.
Brexit and the pandemic is costing you peace
All these changes are also costing you peace and your mental health. Where politicians are taking centre stage and making decisions that are not in our best interests, there are many people who still don't have peace.
With lifting restrictions, more people are now having to rethink how they go about their lives. That is also costing them their peace.
If it's at the cost of your peace, it's too expensive." - Howard Boone Jr.

The cost of peace
Each missile costs more than the annual income of the person firing them, and more than the lifetime income of the person being fired at. And that's just a single missile; our other weapons cost more than the GDP of entire countries. Imagine what we could do if these resources were used for peace instead.
