"I'm going to check the chickens, Ma!" she called over her shoulder, as she bounced down the field from the farmhouse, egg basket swinging from her arm. She wore her favorite light blue cotton dress with the lace sleeves. Barefoot, she soaked in the early June sunshine. The baby birds chirping their hunger to their returning parents, and the bullfrog chorus echoed from the pond. The wind's breath stirred the budding flowers, hungry bees already nosing their way in.

Aye, i love the rain. Although, i moan about it an awfy lot, i do love it. The way it hits your skin, the smell it leaves in the air, the racket it makes when it hits the floor and the chaos in your life just seems alittle bit less :)
