Bismillahirahmanirahim, May this be a good start.

Yippee!

Yesterday evening, we had a great an hour plus discussion with our new senior design consultant. I was excited as usual because I believe it's pretty normal to be this excited when you're a month away from getting the keys to your new home!

It's a great start discussing and changing the renovation list here and there. I'm pretty satisfied and as for now I'm waiting for a confirmation and the 3D drawings to our cosy space!

We had to change the MBR wardrobe due to the small space, gee it can get really small and crampy but heck I don't mind at all. Besides as for now, it's only the husband and me who will be staying at the house. So cosy space, I will embrace you with tender loving care. To the price of HDB Flats and super tiny space, stop being ridiculous! Grrr. I really hope our future ones can afford a nice and comfortable space at a good price.

We decided not to include toilets for the time being, as we need to see the final price of the renovation cost. If it’s according to our budget we might want to add more bucks for toilets. We shall see how it goes.

It can be an “emotional neighbor pressure” when you start realizing that your future neighbors have bought their furnitures or other home/kitchen appliances at a good buy. It’s like a mental pressure because we have not even start window shopping! Haha!

Hubby is super chill I tell you, he really does not have the time to source and liase with this and that while I’m always on it to try to look for something not cheap but good and affordable and try to save money for other stuffs.

Of course money is never an issue for us, that’s what hubby been telling me a thousand times but if there was a better price for a good reputable product/ brand, you would grab it at a lower cost right? Why pay so much for a good product when you can get the same product at a discount price? You catch my drift?

But but ..

I’m extremely grateful to my hubby. He really does know the right word and way to make me very happy. Alhamdullilah, marriage life has been a blessing start. Thank you Allah for blessing us and May we have the strength to pull through other upcoming obstacles together.

Hunting for ID (C)

We went to meet our third ID held at Expo. ID (C) was recommended by few home owners & forums online. There was a mix of bad, too pricey and good reviews about this company. But the fact that their completed projects look pretty presentable, I decided to go with my instinct and get a quotation for my small cosy space.

The problem about this ID (C) is that even with two visits at this ID Firm, the design consultant seems to be having a problem communicating in proper english. Well of course, we don't expect you to slang your way thru us but a proper pronunciation would make a better understanding between one another. 

Hubby was hesitating when the young lady came to assist us. First thing that came to my mind was, "Oh God, I bet she doesn't know what she's doing". She seem to hesitate alot when I direct her with relevant questions on the renovations. Like for example, when I asked those technical questions, she would refer to her company promotion list and reply "Ahhh Yess ah, this is included in the promotion as well".

I continued and say " So does this ya da ya da ya da with this?" 

She replied : "ermmm, let me check with my boss ya". I smiled. She look pitiful and was trying her best to explain to the both of us.

So I told myself "It's alright, let's give her a chance. Maybe she is still new. Let's just listen to what she can provide to us ok fynn?".

Her description wasn't that good but she was helpful. She showed us different kitchen top, different types of kitchen cabinet design and etc. And we were able to get the quotation on the spot. Yipee! Seems to be a little pricey (she told us that the rough estimation was based on the highest so there will definitely be a reduction) of course since our space is so cute and small.

After hubby and I had done with our comparison and calculation, they are in our consideration list. Hah! believe it or not! 

ID (C) Catalogue and brochure from Expo.

Right after expo, we headed to IKEA Tampines for surveying & dinner!

Honestly, I enjoy window shopping at Ikea but the fact that I'm just browsing and not shopping makes it monotonous. Bleargh!

Highlight : I love turquoise and ocean blues but eventually it turn out dark in this photo. That shows how bad my photography skills are. Besides, I need a new camera too! 

Highlight: Definitely not the wardrobe, just a reminder to myself. More hanging option fynn more hanging options! I need more clothes to hang then folding it.

Enough walking, tummy growling..

YEAY! Finally, we had Ikea famous meatballs, 6 pcs of fried chicken wings and 50cents soft ice cream. Yums! The diner was packed as usual and I still don't even know why!

We are only at our third ID and I'm tired of explaining all over again.
