Goodbye 2013,
Well hello there,
I took quite a long hiatus from my blog and I apologise for that.
Days are pretty filled with the little guy and have I mentioned I gave birth to a little boy, ZH. What a super way back introduction right fynn? Hehehe. I really have no time to update my boring blog as you can see handling baby all by yourself with no help can be challenging at times.
Looking at my last post, I was at my last stage of pregnancy and that was how the hiatus from the blog begin.
Let’s do a quick summary on where we last stop,
On 18 July 2013, I gave birth to a baby boy ZH with no medication and no drugs.
I’m so blessed and thankful that my birth plan went all smoothly.
And how would I describe birth pain?
It hurts like hell! Not that I’ve been to hell which I pray NEVER to be there but omg the pain is super unbearable. They have this saying in malay that it feels like “Nyawa kene tarik”. Don’t even know how to be specific with the pain. Haha but in two words DAMN PAINFUL.
As for my birthplan, I wanted it all natural but the minute I was in the labor ward I said to my husband ” Sorry honey, it’s so painful tell the nurse I want an Epidural!”
My husband knows how strongly I want to give birth all natural that he delayed reading the brochure that the nurse gave. HAHA!
So after few minutes right after the nurse gave the brochure to Y, the doctor went ” I’m sorry you have already dilated to 10cm.
I could hardly hear as the pain was too unbearable and so after three pushes I gave birth to H. It was surreal and felt amazing, those tiny hands and this tiny baby was mine. It was all too emotional for me, I cried. Very emo right? But it felt wonderful.
So while the nurse clean baby H, Y hold both of my hand and said “Good job baby you did very well, see our son in here”. Nothing feel awesome when your husband gives you non stop words of encouragement.
And so I felt what a true mother’s pain was and right after giving birth the gynae was about to do my stitches when he accidentally poke the needle at the wrong (point I should say) and he went “OOPS” and I went “it’s alright doctor, I have already felt worse. As long you do my stitches properly I would be fine”.
In a summary, H has completely change both of our world. We are not use to waking up early in the morning, H crying so loud for milk in the middle of the night but it was easy cause I was breastfeeding H and the thought of making the bottle in the middle of the morning is so dreadful. From lack of sleep, food, going thru confinement, nasty ubat periuk, massage and bengkung. Overwhelming huh?
Not until when I have people adding in with ” your milk is not enough that’s why baby can’t stop crying they are hungry”. I feel like spraying sheltox in their faces. Please, I do accept advises but not your demand to do it your way. I’m learning and I know what I’m doing taking care of H. With alot of encouragement from my husband and patience in me, I managed to breastfeed my son till now and ignore every comments on what people always think that baby is never full with breastmilk. Put all the dramas and etc aside it's been an amazing experience for me and Y.
While I wait for the days to start reporting back to the workforce, I asked myself so what’s the best thing in 2013 that’s happen in my life so far?
So obvious! Our new family addition, Baby H of course!
New life, new changes and new beginning!
Goodbye 2013,
xoxo
love fynn,
