Novenber Art Reel

The beginning of this month was crazy stressful, so I didn't get very much done. Here's a redraw of 'The Meeting on the Turret Stairs' with Nyx and Chrys.

I did the background in gray scale then colored it!

OCKiss Day 4: Lost

Nyx and Chrysta.

These two were best friends first before they got together as young teens. Nyx is a swordswoman and Chrys is an archer, and they're just so cool. I love them. :3

Nyx didn't know trees, but Chrysta's father had said the big one at the edge of the blueberry field was an oak and she believed him, being a farmer and all. She probably loved that tree too much for being just a tree, but as she traced a finger over her and Chrysta's initials carved into it she couldn't help feeling a little fond.

"I'll race you to the top." Chrysta grinned beside her.

"Oh you're on!" Nyx laughed, coming to stand with her.

"3.. 2.. 1... Go!" Nyx grabbed onto the lowest branch and easily pulled herself up. Hand over hand she climbed the familiar tree, her feet finding the thick sturdy branches almost without looking. At the top she sat and helped Chrysta up the final feet while she sputtered.

"How did you beat me?!" She asked incredulously as she took Nyx's hand and sat beside her. Nyx shrugged.

"Sword training's paying off I guess." Nyx flexed lightly, making Chrysta giggle.

"I'll say." She timidly touched Nyx's arm, her hazel eyes drawing Nyx forward.

"So about my prize..." She grinned.

"Prize? Who said anything about a prize?"

"I did, just now. And I think I should get a kiss." She cupped Chrysta's cheeks as she snickered and she pulled her in as well.

December Art Reel

I finished the metallic dragons!!! I'll make a separate post about them probably, when I get around to it. :3 Also an attempt at correct perspective with Quin. And last a cute doodle I colored of Nyx and Chrys for my phone. :3

July Art Reel

Hello! It's the end of the month which means it's art reel time!

In addition to doing Art Fight this year I also started @worldofthraeia so I redid some old character references, first the cast of Lady of Birchgrove. I did some doodles of my Elves and Feli for the blog as well. Next is updated references for the Reclaim cast that I'm happier with, they show a little more personality. :3

Last is the start of a small background challenge I wanted to try... that kinda turned into a full piece. (ref)

August Art Reel

Hello again! First this month we have Nyx and Chrys's first kiss, then the final species for Thraeia, Kiyiater a raptor-based species with tiny wings that live in the jungles of Eastern Amiadin. A height chart with all the races (types?) of Feli (took me a solid 5 hours to do, over five days.).

Next is a big project I'm working on, consisting of these fake trading card drawings which were a lot of fun! I'm hoping to challenge myself with these. Zendara's is my favorite currently.
