I've almost completed the story for the new dlc BUT I still haven't built my ranch!
So I went to ask for help in the Official Cotl server:
Of course I feel like a bloody idiot. I have yet to go back into the game to try building a fence correctly - again! - since I had just come off of an 8hr session. My kid is playing it now AND THEY HAD NO PROBLEM GETTING A FREE YAKISH ... I swear I checked my inventory for the Yakish in there and I don't recall the Lamb acquiring one and holding it up.
This is how my son made his ranch, then straight after he went to Eweful and there was a WOOL ROOM!!
I'm wondering if this is a bug...
Or if I am just so stupid I can't build a fence.
Anyway, then I saw that SOMEONE ELSE has the same issue! 😆
I don't feel so dumb anymore 🥲

Weaving this into my story, because that's funny. I am now amusing myself with the idea of my Lamb eventually losing his mind and shearing himself almost naked in order to buy a Yakish and thus start up the ranch.
I am loving this game again. This dlc is fun.
I have just... missed out an entire half of the content because of this stupid issue about not finding any wool EVEN THOUGH THE LAMB IS COVERED IN IT 😅😅😭😭
I'm glad we have our games backed up on another save file when you start the Woolhaven dlc, because I am really considering starting it again, so I can go a little slower and enjoy building up a ranch. I also have two other saved games and I am looking forward to replaying this dlc again and again because it really has improved the overall gameplay for me.
Plus, this update seems to have fixed a long-time issue of my game getting serious lag once I got over 23 Followers. Blamed my old xbox for that but I have 33 followers now, and the game runs smoothly! It's so nice to have a VILLAGE like all the other people I've seen online. 🥹
