Idk if I’ve talked about it here before, but one of my favorite worldbuilding hcs for cotrk is that endowment is a spectrum and so it is possible for people to be so slightly endowed as to go unnoticed. Most notably, and closest to canon, this is what I think is up with Charlie pre-series. He’s been slightly clairvoyant for his whole life, but everyone has just interpreted this as him having good intuition. Then once his picture-traveling endowment is activated, his clairvoyance gets stronger in general (thus his ability to more directly read minds sometimes).
With this, I also hc that Bartholomew and Harold are also endowed, but their endowment is just being more robust than humans should be. Everyone is aware that they are big, strong men, but no one especially notices that they are less fragile than they should be, that they don’t have to put in any effort to maintain their strength.
I like the idea of people being remarkable, but not remarkable enough. If they weren’t constantly surrounded by endowed people, their special qualities would be more easily recognized. But next to shapeshifters and telekinetics, who would notice them?
