There is a river that snakes throughout the town with numerous bridges to traverse across. It is a fantastic place to stop and have a bite to eat or an afternoon cream tea. Reposted • @joeykendalbrown Cooking up a storm in the kitchen with @cotswoldco using the beautiful Bybrook range. Any guesses as to what I made? Ingredients apples, pears, blackberries, sugar, flour, butter… We’ve had a little reconfiguration at home to allow for more space and swapped some of our dining chairs for this beautiful @cotswoldco Elkstone bench. 19551 Burlington Drive is a Cotswold-style home, built in 1925 for Chester Souther and his wife, Keturah. Mr. Souther was vice president of the Norton Land Corporation as well as manager in the tax department for General Motors. Leonard B. Willeke was one of the Detroit area's more talented and prolific residential architects of the first half of the 20th century, most known for his Arts & Crafts designs. The Souther residence is Palmer Woods' lone home to be completely faced with stone. Detroit and environs are no stranger to Cotswold, with several iterations of the style to be found in neighborhoods throughout the city and suburbs. ⁣ Canon EOS 250D | 18mm | 1/400s | f/7.1 | ISO 100⁣ Taken on 18/08/2020.⁣ ⁣ Located in a small valley amongst the gentle rolling hills of the Cotswolds, Bourton-on-the-Water is a must-see for all visitors to the area.⁣ ⁣ This popular village is often referred to as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’ because of the attractive little bridges that cross the gently flowing River Windrush, which runs through the centre of the village.⁣ ⁣ Bourton-on-the-Water has a charm all of its own at any time of the year. At Christmas time, a pretty Christmas tree is placed in the river and a wonderful shopping evening is held to switch the lights on—a truly magical sight. And on August Bank Holiday Monday afternoon, a rather eccentric tradition takes place when the local football team plays a game of football actually in the river!
