after his previous encounter with emiliano he was riddled with guilt , he'd said things he didn't mean , he'd meant things differently and his pride could only be as tough as he let it. it all culminated in years of resentment that he was bubbling inside , emotions he had never let out but they managed to spill out but seemed to dissipate one punch after another. that wasn't something he'd put cel through but the two were closer in age --- cel left when she could to get over the grief but he could see the sadness in her eyes and santiago worked , he worked to put his name on the map --- his parents name out there in places they hadn't expanded yet. his focus had gotten lost , he should have been a better brother but he hoped it wasn't too late to try again. bruised and battered he walked up to celestina's home and rang the door bell hoping she would be the one to open the door. when she did , he leaned against the door frame , " i'm sorry , " was all that he said , eyes closing slightly waiting for her own barrage of punches.
