I really really really like the idea of his reversed ending being an all for not thing like he tries to redeem himself and get his new life started but it still fails and he loses mc because mc sacrificed themselves for the devil instead of Lucio like can you imagine the ANGST of Lucio pleading that the Devil takes him instead of MC because MC was the only one to actually show him genuine love and compassion and to have that yanked away??? Oooooo yes
Pt2: like the Devil just sees this as another one of Lucios bargains to repay his debts and he just teases Lucio like "how low to give up the one person you love most in this world to repay me" because at first Lucio promised the Devil that he'd give him the most powerful magician in the world as ultimate payment, but Lucio had a plan for it to be MC and to trick the Devil from the get go but OH NO he fell in love and now he has to watch the love of his life become the one creature he fears
Pt3: and then it ends with him basically promising to get them out of that situation but when he tries to recruit the help of the others no one trusts him and asras LIVID over losing mc not once but TWICE and basically Lucio makes a final promise to help them out of that situation and ends up dying trying to find a way to save them???? *chefs kiss*
