I hated his design so fucking much i did a redesign or whatever.

Designer notes:

I hated how low his mouth was cause it made him look like a Neverhood character in a bad way. Like it just made no sense. I pushed his mouth upward and moved his ears downward to give him a perpetual bitch face, like some mean old frogfaced teacher.

Tried to make him look more uptight to match with his whole "punishment" gimmick. The face is the main communicator of that, but I also tried to implement that through his dulled claws and fairly clean look. His cloak is based off some traditional Romanian trenchcoats I found during research, but I ended up adjusting the decals to give him a "drill sargent"-type look. Tall boots also help create a sense of authority (which I also did with my Nigel design)

His giant hip-hop-esque bling is mostly there for laughs/to be disarming, but I did try to put a lil bit of thought into it. Most of his wardrobe is very antiquated but the bling is blatantly modern that it just looks kinda ridiculous. It also helps stir some questions about what his relationship with time is, since many of my hcs for him revolve around his relationship with time. Although I didnt make a ref for it but he is wearing an 1800s vest with a pair of 1600s breeches to further hint at that. He has a fascination with the "modern times", but he's also very rooted in the past, namely all the bad rhetoric of the past.

While he is incredibly comical with his large ass hands, I did add a reddened tint to allude to what he does, a weirdly specific and detailed addition to creates some discomfort/makes him slightly menacing.

I was originally going to keep his color scheme very cool like his original design, but I ended up liking a dark yellow tint I used to block out his colors so I used a triadic (yellow, green, purple) color scheme with red accents. The red accents really help him look dead/inhuman, so it turned out really nice. Also made me realize how much I hated spankulot's dull color scheme.

Count Who Laughs 01 y 02

Both made in 2024 inspired by Batman Who Laughs (obviously) and his pets.

I don't like Batman as character or franchise but the concept of a bunch of pet Robins chained to him IS SO FUCKING SICK, man that's one of the best things I've seen in many years. So I thought of Count Spankulot as a kind of "evil count" from another dimension who has these shrieking midgets around him.

I've always been so interested to draw skinny characters who suddenly grow up to become gangly weirdos,'cause they're pretty agile and funny but hostile: if you think about those disgusting pet Robins (from the original concept) I think these kiddos fit so well, besides THESE are my fave Sector V characters. Here I think of Numbuh 5 more like THE vampire slayer instead a miserable pet like these freaks, and we can think of Numbuh 2 as the wise kiddo who supplies her weapons/artifacts behind a counter. He's careful!

But getting back to Numbuh 3, she's truly happy to "serve" his master and is the most silent and fast informer he has. Don't trust her, she looks cute and smiley but still being an vampire and it's loyal to the Count S. Numbuh 4 by the other hand is the worst behave pet, doesn't care about "procedures" to attack the humans and wants to do his will every time, so it's pretty easy to annoy the adult. But at the same time Spankulot really loves his aggressiveness and toughness, he's a vampire after all!

Nothing too special to say about Numbuh 1, he just exists to be a freak enthusiast of blood, he's cold hearted, loyal to his master and I love him (as always).

Funfact: I fucking love drawing characters who smoke HAHAHA! I don't smoke, I don't do drugs of ANY kind (nor even alcohol) but this particular interest I have with cigarrettes is one of my fave things to portray when I draw (or design my own) characters. I don't mind if those are kiddos, teens or adults all of them look pretty dope to me.

El Conde Que Ríe 01 y 02

Dibujados en 2024 e inspirados (obviamente) en el Batman Que Ríe y sus mascotas. No me gusta Batman ni como personaje ni como franquicia, pero el concepto que le dieron de traer a todos los Robins encadenados como perros es una puta genialidad, la verdad es de las cosas más brillantes que he visto en muchos años. Ya con eso se me ocurrió dibujar al Conde Tundácula en una "versión maligna de otra dimensión" que tiene a estos 3 enanos chillones encadenados como perros.

Siempre me ha gustado muchísimo dibujar monos flacos que de repente crecen para volverse todavía más flacuchos porque son personajes que se notan muy ágiles, chistosos y al mismo tiempo agresivos. Si piensas en los Robin mascota originales que se ven deleznables, pues quedan bien estos 3 agentes del Sector V, que además son mis favoritos.

En este caso Número 5 es LA CAZA VAMPIROS de estos asquerosos engendros, en lugar de ser otra mascota miserable como ellos 3. Número 2 es todavía más cuidadoso que ella y preferí pensar en él como un tendero que le surte las armas y el parque a Número 5.

Regresando con Número 3, ella de verdad está muy feliz de "servirle" a su amo y es la informante más silenciosa y rápida que él tiene. Igualmente no se puede confiar en ella aunque esté toda sonriente y se vea tierna, porque a final de cuentas sigue siendo un vampiro y toda su lealtad está puesta en el Conde Tundácula.

Por otra parte Número 4 es la mascota que peor se comporta (el mismo dibujo lo dice jaja), no le interesan los "procedimientos" para atacar a los humanos y siempre quiere hacer su gana; así que es muy fácil que el viejo se moleste por su culpa. De todos modos al Conde Tundácula le agrada mucho que 4 sea tan agresivo y duro ¡y pues es que es un vampiro! jajaja malo sería que eso tampoco le pareciera bueno.

De Número 1 pues no puedo decir algo relevante; nada más está ahí existiendo como un horrible engendro amante de la sangre, frío y sin corazón que es leal a su amo y que (como siempre) lo amo.

Curiosidad: Me encanta dibujar personajes que fuman, yo no fumo ni tengo adicciones (ni siquiera el putísimo alcohol) pero ese interés particular que tengo con los cigarros es muy evidente y me encanta estar rayando monos que son fumadores (sea fanart o inventar a mis propios personajes). La verdad me vale verga si son niños, adolescentes o adultos; todos los monos que fuman son geniales para mí y me encanta tener que hacerlos adictos al cigarro.

¡USTEDES NO FUMEN, NIÑOS! ¡NO SE DROGUEN! ¡NO CONSUMAN DROGAS DE NINGÚN TIPO!
