Personal work - trying my hand at maps
Back to the boat this afternoon and all the snow has completely gone. The river has risen at least 18 inches and is running faster than I've ever seen it. The combination of the rain last night and the snow melt has produced an awful lot of water. Only a couple more inches and the river would be flooding over the bank. Had to loosen off the mooring ropes as they were very taught and pulling Emanon over into a list.
Just moved the boat up to the marina ready for it to be lifted out of the water first thing tomorrow. That was an interesting experience with the strong current. I had to turn Emanon around and then speed downstream. Getting her stopped at the jetty and tied up was pretty tricky but all fine now. Still getting pulled about by the current though even moored up tightly. It's going to be a noisy and bumpy night.
Lovely night last night with Ian while all the girls partied it up at Rosy's for her birthday. All met up at the Counter Cafe on Fish Island for a slap up brunch.
Berengere, Will, Fia, Alfie and Rosie off down to the Counter Cafe at Fish Island for breakfast on this gloriously sunny morning while Pavlova and I mooch lazily about the house vaguely contemplating a walk
DAY.10
Useless day. After and early morning cycle, I headed over to the lovely Counter Cafe in Hackney Wick and ended up staying for most of the day. It's really rather lovely in their new Stour Space home. Did get snapped by the Guardian whilst drinking my Coffee, which was fun.
Otherwise, I've decided I have as much luck just entering competitions to win stuff, so I've sat on my big bum filling in my name and address endlessly! productive, eh?!
I think I may stick a couple of quid on the G.P on Sunday just for kicks!
