Lucifer: Pansexual aromantic babey!

Maze: Also Pansexual aromantic!

Kaminari: I see him as just aro and not feeling a need to put another label on his identity. Sometimes he calls himself gay too but that isn't super common.

How proud of being arospec are they?

Lucifer: I feel like he's normally very proud of it and would talk about it more if human society was more accepting.

Maze: She walks around with aro and pan flags everywhere idk you tell me

Kaminari: Not really! He just doesn't see why he needs to feel proud of it and would rather talk about other stuff most of the time.

Hatsume: She's in the middle, like she'll be proud if someone asks about it but it isn't the biggest part of her identity she talks about. She does have an aro flag hanging in her room tho

For all of them I think it varies a lot on the mood and how they're feeling that day. Lucifer and Kaminari are more yes, while Maze and Hatsume are about 50/50 on it.

Lucifer: he's very out and will just say he's aro if someone tries to go further than sex.

Maze: she's out and insisted on keeping an aro flag in the living room in her apartment w Chloe

Kaminari: To a few people, mostly just his classmates. It came up in casual conversation and everyone was cool with it.

Hatsume: She never explicitly came out it just sorta. Happened and it's cool

How do they feel about romance? Romance-favorable? Romance-neutral? Romance-repulsed? Or does it fluctuate?

Lucifer: Pretty neutral most of the time.

Maze: Fluctuates between neutral and favorable.

Kaminari: Can fluctuate a lot from both ends of the scale. Some days he enjoys romantic-coded stuff and other days he can't get away from it fast enough.

Hatsume: Pretty favorable.

Have they ever experienced arophobia? If so, how?

Lucifer: You know how people say he's just pretending to be the Devil most of the time? Well after he tells someone he's aro (and alloaro at that) they turn tail and try to demonize him more.

Maze: Same as the above for the most part.

Kaminari: He gets asked by his adult family members why he doesn't want to date anyone and it really pushes his buttons and sometimes he wishes he wasn't aro (but around his friends, who are also aro, he loves being aromantic and wouldn't trade it for anything)

Hatsume: She gets thrown under the "predatory aro lesbian" stereotype even tho she would never hurt someone like that ever.

How do they show their arospec pride?

Lucifer: He goes to pride parades and hands out his own pamphlets on safe sex and being allosexual aromantic in the modern world.

Maze: She has that big aro flag in the living room and probably also has aro themed tattoos that are just really small and simple.

Kaminari: He keeps an aro flag in his backpack in the waterbottle holder and sometimes wears an aro pin on his jacket.

Hatsume: Makes inventions with the aro color scheme and also has aro pins and flags hiding around her space

Do they actively try to combat amatonormativity in their daily lives or elsewhere? If so, how?

Lucifer: It depends on how good he's feeling and if he's in the mood for it. Sometimes he'll just flare his eyes and scare the shit out of whoever is being arophobic.

Maze: Not particularly, maybe gives them a middle finger when someone does amatanormative shit but otherwise doesn't care that much.

Kaminari: Not really.

Hatsume: Also probably not.

Was it easy for them to label themselves arospec, or was there a long period of questioning? How many labels did they have to try before landing on the one they use now?

Lucifer: Yeah. He has been aro for an eternity

Maze: Also yes, she's known she was aro since she was created. (How are demons made?)

Kaminari: No, he went through a handful of labels before finding aromantic and even then he dealt w a lot of internalized arophobia and amatanormativity

Hatsume: Kinda, she always knew she wasn't a heterosexual and ID'd as just a lesbian for a while before she also realized she was aro.

Would they be interested in a QPR? Why or why not?

Lucifer: Not really, doesn't want to deal with it.

Maze: Also not really, human relationships are weird.

Kaminari: He would! But he's too scared to ask anyone about it

Hatsume: She'd be into it and it would give her an excuse to ramble about her inventions to someone who also enjoys them

countess-pumpkinsnuffle i joined the company's pride group, which was an entirely automated process (like, entering my email to sign up for a newsletter), and i went back and forth talking myself in and out of it and wanted to hurl the entire time and it took forever both to do it and to calm down afterward.  i decided it's really important (both to me personally and in general) to advance aro-specific inclusion because it's not really there, but hoo boy, how can i do that like this?

when i was a small child at a church event, i decided right there to have a crush on someone. i picked someone, ‘confessed’ to him, and then we played board games but it was not at all what everyone hyped it up to be so i, the age of 6ish, broke it off w him.
