I heard of SECHSKIES because of H.O.T. and I heard of them because of DB5K. I have listened to a few songs but never really had the chance to become a fan because: one, they weren't active anymore back then; two, I met DB5K a bit late tbh and the emotional turmoil caused by everything surrounding them is enough to occupy my whole being; and three, I was just really DB5K-obsessed. I have known about them more after watching Reply 1998 because Jiwon even with his supporting role is actually a scene-stealer. And the fact that he was an actual SECHSKIES member in a series that depicts the fan lives of those in the H.O.T. X SECHSKIES generation is really interesting. They're really likable and I found it extremely weird that such a well-loved group disbanded at the peak of their careers without clear reason. I mean, unlike the DB5K controversy and law-suit drama, they didn't appear to have that or so I thought. Later on, I found that they did have a company drama though maybe not as messy as that of DB5K's, especially since 5 of the original members were able to come back as a group. Or sorta 6 since the other member refused(?) because of work reasons and not personal ones. Their reunion is a happy one and it makes me feel immensely jealous of Yellowkies. Their wait is blessed and now they have their beloved group back. Super lucky. Plus, this group regardless of their age feels young nd fun to watch that they attract even newer fans. I personally like Jaejin because of his adorkable weirdness and Jiwon because of his voice. I can't call myself a Yellowkies yet but I'm interested to know more about them. At least that's how I see my willingness to scour the ends of the internet to get well-acquainted with them. I'm expecting crystals to uncover. Six to be exact. 😊 P.S. As a Cassiopeia, I'm praying that a reunion will be made possible as well in the next few years to come. That will be a precious gift. I hope all fans whose favorite idols have disbanded or stopped from promoting as a group will all have the same experience as Yellowkies too. 😊🙏 Let's all AKTF. ❤
