29. What is one of the most courageous things your character has ever done for a loved one?
“I remember a night, a couple centuries ago, in a place very far from here… Luna and I were sharing a territory together. We weren’t a couple yet - but I won’t hide I was already secretly in love with her.
That night, she had gone to investigate tracks of other Elder Dragons on a human Tower, while I was patrolling in the neighboring areas.
My stroll went fine. But since Luna didn’t come back on time, as agreed, I started to worry. And the reason was that Hunters had spotted her.
They were four, lightly armored, but heavily armed with huge guns. The bastards were looking for some Monster parts.
I wasn’t there so I didn’t see the fight. I don’t doubt Luna acted fiercely against them, but she couldn’t do anything against the sleep ammo. And of course, what they had to do, they did it - oh god how predictable Hunters can be…
It’s not my fault. I was worried for her. I had no idea what was about to happen. And when I arrived in the area, I didn’t think.
I plunged.
The pain was harsh, but not that much when I realized I had born most of it for her. Maybe that was one of the moments when I showed to myself the obvious love I had for Luna, and that my pride was yet forbidding me to tell out loud.
As for what happened next… Well, easy to guess. Two Elder dragons in the same area, that’s always been a bit too much for a few Hunters, as good as they can be.”
