Yo! How you guys doing? Stopping by because I just did a thing and I figured some of my followers (particularly the HG101 alumni) might be interested.

While I’ve been away one of my new interests is the Internet Archives which I’ve discovered is a gold mine of old stuff, especially software. I decided to contribute to the archives.

Here in Finland, there’s a computer magazine called Mikrobitti, which has been running since the Commodore 64 days. Around the late 90′s they started this yearly tradition of releasing a collection CD which has both useful software and games released around the time. The selection of games is really interesting, since instead of popular demos the CD’s have shareware and freeware that are lot more obscure. There’s lot of games made in Finland too, both in English and Finnish. One of these discs was where I got Stixworld from, which was played during the GC9X Shareware Stream (which used to be the only gameplay footage of the game on Youtube, but since then there’s at least 3 more videos!).

So if you’re interested, grab the ISO for free and take a look! Make sure you read the description for instruction on how to browse the disc on a modern system.
