I was talking to a friend and mentioned the Coverversion/Page/Plant situation. the friend was clueless, so I let out a sigh (of anticipation) and said, okay, okay, let me tell you about this.

and they said, oh, of course, do you also have powerpoint slides?

to which, after a dramatic pause, I replied,

well. actually. yes.

and I pulled out my laptop and went through the whole thing in detail.

it felt like a core memory in the making
