I have little respect for people that cannot excuse social awkwardness after what we collectively went through. If you do not know how to reach for empathy after 2020… I do not know what to say to you. Maybe you should ask yourself why you think it is acceptable to be passive-aggressive, dismissive, or make faces when someone is obviously making a sincere effort & struggling. I hate that this has been my experience since returning to "normal". I'm still very much in my own head. And I am immensely grateful for those that have been generous and patient with me socially... and a lot of people can go fuck right off.
