Is that 18+ rule like, really strict?

Yes. We will not allow anyone under 18 years of age into the zine as a creator. If we find out you’re underage your application will be discarded, and if you’ve lied and been accepted to the zine, you will be removed from the project immediately.

Please don’t make us be ‘bad guys’ when the entire purpose of this rule is to keep minors safe. We literally just want to keep kids safe okay.

Heyo! Even if a person's application isn't accepted will you tell them? Like will you respond with both good and bad news to people? Or is the no news means it was a no in getting into the zine?

We’ll be sending emails to applicants who were accepted AND rejected. Ghosting people was never, ever an intent from us, and hopefully will not in the future. We love everyone who even gave us the time of day, and we want to make sure everyone is notified and kept in the loop.

We’ll also send acceptance/rejection emails SIMULTANEOUSLY so there isn’t a long delay to find out (I hate it when Zine’s email notifications on different days, personally.)

Again, thank you to everyone who applied, it means the world to all of us, and we’re going to do our absolute best to make this project be great!!

Would you consider reopening applications until the new year?

No.

Applications have closed. We gave everyone a month, with updates and frequent reblogs, and even extended the deadline by 6 hours in order to accommodate everybody who wanted to apply. If you missed your chance, I’m sorry, but you missed it.

We had such a long application time in order to give artists and writers a chance to create things specifically for the application if they desired to.

We’re sorry you missed it, but with such a long app time, plus us mods needing to promptly review the applications we already got, there’s no real way we can justifiably reopen them. It’s not fair to those that applied during the time limit.

We do hope you’ll stay with the blog, and continue to support the creators we’re going to be accepting and working with. Depending on outcome, there may be another edition of this zine sooner rather than later, and we’d love to see even more applicants next time.

any idea of what the word count for writers will be? its hard to commit firmly without any real idea since theres a big difference between 500 words and 1500 words

It’ll be more than 500 for sure!! It’ll probably be close to about 2k or more. Enough to fill 2 full pages!! But things are still in testing, I haven’t had a chance to layout any of the test pages I’ve made.

Does it have to be completely canonical? Like, could i draw veronica and my courier in the old world blues dlc?

That would be fine!! We’re not going to put an embargo on “Canon” locations. If your courier experienced OWB with Veronica in your canon, it’s fine to include her there!!

One of the questions says "do you have any idea what kind of piece you'd like to include?" Not really sure what that means, can you clarify?

We’re simply asking if creators have an idea for their finished pieces. If someone wants to draw/write something like a specific location or situation, we want to know!! Like if someone wants to draw their courier and Boone inside Dinky, and they know that, we’d prefer they let us know early on so we can assign companions more concisely!!

Wasn't submissions supposed to be open by now?

Calm down, calm down. We’re in the eastern time zone of America so we’re waiting until this evening to post/open applications so that it’s generally not too awful a time around the world to apply.

Applications will also be open for almost an entire month, with multiple warnings leading up to their close, so you’ll have plenty of time.

I was in a fallout discord a while back, and got bullied out by a few members of the fandom? And I'm worried that If I sign up they'll start again? But I really want to have a chance to be a part of something

Bullying will not be tolerated in or around our project. If anyone begins to cause problems within the project, they’ll be removed from the zine entirely. We don’t have room here for bullies and creeps.

And if anyone who is accepted is harassed by fandom members, they’ll be blocked by the zine and mods in question, and I will notify people as best as I can about who is causing issues.
