Sorry for the radio silence!! There was some technical difficulties with Mod Silent’s computer, which has now been fixed, and some personal things that put the zine on hold temporarily. Things are still going, and are about to pick back up into full swing!! Announcements and showcases will be incoming shortly. Thank you all for your patience, we can’t wait to make this zine for you guys!!

Was the time that an application was submitted a factor in choosing who would be in the zine?
nope. We looked at everyone’s applications in a row, without preference on time. We looked at portfolios, read and looked at linked art, and considered everybody equally. We literally didn’t have a single firm “NO” in the bunch. Everyone was considered for a spot in our zine until we narrowed all applicants down to assured, unanimous YES and assigned pitch hitters. Everybody who applied was considered with equal eyes, and looked at individually. We didn’t put a preference on anybody.

Would you consider reopening applications until the new year?
No.
Applications have closed. We gave everyone a month, with updates and frequent reblogs, and even extended the deadline by 6 hours in order to accommodate everybody who wanted to apply. If you missed your chance, I’m sorry, but you missed it.
We had such a long application time in order to give artists and writers a chance to create things specifically for the application if they desired to.
We’re sorry you missed it, but with such a long app time, plus us mods needing to promptly review the applications we already got, there’s no real way we can justifiably reopen them. It’s not fair to those that applied during the time limit.
We do hope you’ll stay with the blog, and continue to support the creators we’re going to be accepting and working with. Depending on outcome, there may be another edition of this zine sooner rather than later, and we’d love to see even more applicants next time.

Heyo! Even if a person's application isn't accepted will you tell them? Like will you respond with both good and bad news to people? Or is the no news means it was a no in getting into the zine?
We’ll be sending emails to applicants who were accepted AND rejected. Ghosting people was never, ever an intent from us, and hopefully will not in the future. We love everyone who even gave us the time of day, and we want to make sure everyone is notified and kept in the loop.
We’ll also send acceptance/rejection emails SIMULTANEOUSLY so there isn’t a long delay to find out (I hate it when Zine’s email notifications on different days, personally.)
Again, thank you to everyone who applied, it means the world to all of us, and we’re going to do our absolute best to make this project be great!!

Hey, sorry for the late question. I've been kinda waffling on applying because I'd be interested in potentially illustrating for a writer, but due to having problems with New Vegas crashing (I've played it on a Mac port for Steam) I don't have a lot of images or lore (or any art) for *my own* courier. Would it still be possible to apply as an illustrator without my own courier art to use for the application? Thanks for your time!
It’s alright! Yes, if you’re applying as an illustrator for a fic, its not necessary that you have images of your own courier, since you’ll be drawing art of someone else’s courier from the fic they’ll be writing!

We’re excited to announce that Applications for CONV are now open, and will be open until December 26th at MIDNIGHT EST!! CONV is a fanzine dedicated to bringing life and love to all the unique couriers New Vegas’ fandom has to offer!!
This Zine is accepting 18yr+ applicants, and is SFW!!
We will be accepting 20 artists, 5 writers, and 5 illustrators to work with our writers. We will also be featuring 3 amazingly talented Guest Artists!!

Can I ask what the current spread is? I don't mind a ratio if you aren't comfortable.
We’ve gotten just 30 applications for regular zine artists, so don’t be afraid or discouraged to apply!! We want to see YOUR art and couriers, so spread the word and apply if you can!! As for writers/illustrators, we currently have 6 apps for writers and 4 for illustrators!! We’d love to see more artists and writers apply for the zine to collaborate together!!

Hiya! I'm so excited and sent in my application as a writer on my courier six for your awesome zine. However, I might have misunderstood the collaboration question? I had a commission of my courier done by a close friend of mine and included that, but is that the picture that will be used? I have no problem working with someone new to bring my courier to life and in fact would love that opportunity. I'm confused and this note is prob confusing too. Sorry hope you can help! thanks!
Writers apply to work alongside an illustrator. No pre-existing images or fics can/will be used in the zine. It’ll be all original. An illustrator will be paired up with you to draw your courier’s loadout and a scene from your fic.
Also, We can only accept as many writers as we get illustrators for the project, and we’re lacking in the illustrator apps atm. Artists, If you’d like to double up your apps, please go ahead and apply for the illustrator position as well.
