In love with the gorgeous saree my wonderful #cowife @s7_shortcake got me! Stole her grey and gold scarf to wear with it for lunch with my guy’s father. Subhan’Allah w bihawmdihi, we drove two hours to this restaurant we didn’t know, and there was a cute little masjid right next door!! Allahu akbar! Assalaamu alaikum everybody! First off, I’m sorry for basically disappearing off of social media - I’ve been dealing with some things medically and emotionally. Alhamdulillah things are starting to look up! I’m going to be on vacation for the next two weeks. None of the household really celebrates “Christmas,” outside of pretty/cute decorations and some gifts; more accurately put, its Family Day - a day (or days!) to put some extra focus into those we love. So when @s7_shortcake requested a full “Christmas” dinner to make up for the hurts in previous years, it was no trouble at all to agree! Kosher/Halal turkey, dairy-free green bean casserole, TWO kinds of mashed potatoes, corn, and crescent rolls, along with sparkling grape juice and “Puppies Crash Christmas” (thanks @hulu) all made for a very happy #cowife ❤️ Happy Family Day, from our little family to yours.
