Coyote Run - Beltane Fires
Coyote Run - Oak & Ash & Thorn
Sing oak and ash and thorn, my love All of a Midsummer’s morn; Surely we sing of no little thing In oak and ash and thorn!
Someday, on my deathbed, I will utter my final words in this cumbersome, earthly body of mine, and those words will probably be one final declaration of love for the film CLEAN, SHAVEN.
I finally got to record the episode for it yesterday with Peter Van Pelt after alluding to it on every other episode of “Million-Dollar Day Player” I’ve recorded so far. This is not the only film worth watching Peter in, but it’s absolutely the best one. CLEAN, SHAVEN is the most emotional space he’s ever gotten on film and he takes it up with so much beauty and raw pain. I spent an hour and a half gushing about this fucking movie yesterday and I feel like I could go another hour in text right now. But I won’t.
Recording THE RICH MAN’S WIFE today in person with my good friend Alicia Briscoe. I wish I could have done more of these episodes in person instead of on Skype. I’m more relaxed and likable if I can play off of someone in the room with me, but I had very specific people in mind to do this project with me, and unfortunately, most of them don’t live here anymore. Savannah is a place that has produced some of the greatest people I know, but it hasn’t really mastered keeping those people here.
Anywhoo, after THE RICH MAN’S WIFE, there’ll just be COYOTE RUN to record for before I can concentrate on the bulk of the editing. Most of it will be easy, but since I’ve known Phil and Peter for exactly forever, we wandered off subject quite a bit and had personal conversations that would bog down the episodes too much. I need these to be as streamlined and focused as possible. Wish me luck!
Fanaticism or bigotry killed any kind of true innovation, though both liked to steal everything possible and claim they invented it.

oh the spring is like a young girl who does not know her mind the summer is a tyrant well of most ungracious kind the autumn is an old friend that loves you all she can and brings the bearded barley to glad the heart and hand
music for the autumn equinox
Coyote Run, Tam Lin
Day 4 is a fun and lively retelling. I particularly love the atmospheric affects used at the beginning and the way the music comes in fast and sudden.
