how many white spots does a horse need to hav on their body to be considered snowflake? there's a horse in the barn I work in who has about a 8 white spots combined on both sides, he's an Oldenburg tho so idk if snowflake is even found in that breed
I don't think there's a minimal amount of spots required. Snowflake is a pattern of the leopard complex, so the horse would probably have mottled skin, white sclera, and/or striped hooves, and he would roan out as he ages. If he exhibits none of these, maybe the spots are simply birdcatcher spots?

I think Oldenburgs do have the leopard complex, the standard I found says all colours allowed, but spotted coats seem pretty rare, most of them are solid.
