WIP: The Double R  Cowplant Ranch

Some of you may remember the original cowplant ranch I created back when Get to Work came out.  When I started work on my Radiation Springs OS makeover project, it made sense to include this build and give it a bit of an update and makeover. 

The ranch is run by the Ralston Family, which includes Eli (the aspiring Cpilk mogul), his wife Betty Joe, and their children;  Teenager Chester Ralston, his kid brother Evan, and the toddler twins Purina and Catnip.  Cowplant ranching is very demanding, especially in post apocalyptic times, but I’m sure they’ll manage to make a go of it.

The Life of a Cowplant Rancher

Cowplant Ranching, ain’t easy, and it’s not for everyone.  It’s filled with long, grueling hours, and doesn’t exactly keep the generators running if ya know what I mean. So why do it ya might ask; well ya see without Cowplant Ranchers like the Ralston family we wouldn’t have any Cpilk to drink. Heck, next to Lizard on a Stick, and Trash Plant Fruit, Cpilk is a Wastelander’s favorite meal.

Fact of the matter is, not everyone who takes up Cowplant Ranching lives to see retirement.  With there being no seasons anymore since the Big One, those Cowplants tend be really ornery.   Sometimes you feed the Cowplant, and sometimes the Cowplant just eats you whole. The lucky ones get spat back out, but not everyone in Radiation Springs is as lucky as ole Eli Ralston.

Remember Wastelanders....when it comes to Cowplants, the Cake is a Lie!

What is CPilk?

CPilk (or Cowplant Milk) starts it's journey at a Cowplant Farm just like this one.

In a pasture similar to what you see here, special genetically modified Cowplants are raised in atomically enriched soil to ensure maximum  CPilk production. Every day the Cowplants are taken to a milking station where that creamy grayish goodness is transferred into a holding tank. Then it's off to the lab where our CPilk technicians pasteurize, homogenize and agonize over the CPilk so it may be used in all kinds of wonderful CPilk Products

Once background radiation levels meet  CCDA standards the delicious CPilk is turned into Chips, Cheeses, and canned and bottled for use with your favorite recipes or on your kids favorite cereal. Lastly, the CPilk products are either delivered by your local CPilkman, or sold at participating Farmers Markets like the one you see here.
