Hoo boy it’s been a while since I added a new brew! This titanic hydra-dragon is currently boring a hole through one of Eressi’s major cities - and the players are right in it’s path!
Sufficed to say this one isn’t something for the faint of heart - after all, she’s got an incredibly powerful outer shell that is resistant to most magical attacks and immune to conventional weapons. She also has a fierce set of heads that can trigger sudden strikes as soon as you enter their reach, and can swallow even large creatures whole.
Adventurers facing a titanic beast such as this should be prepared for the worst; because Kaccetai is intelligent, fast, and spawned of Tiamat herself.

So I’m kinda surprised that more than once I’ve seen this episode suggested as an intro episode for people who don’t want to start from the beginning, and that really confuses me. I mean, it was a decent episode, especially the beginning, but with all of the preparations and shopping in the back half it took me a week to get through this one.
I’m really enjoying this so I’m not really in any particular hurry to finish since I’m watching campaign 2 live anyway, but it’s taking a lot longer than I thought it would. Watching live has a level of excitement that I didn’t expect to be such a big factor when I decided to go back to campaign 1 and watch it through properly.
