okay !! so, pandora fitzpatrick. no one really knows what to think of her, not really; not her teachers, not her parents and sometimes not even her closest of friends. she is not exactly paradoxical, and she often seems rather straightforward. but she is also known for randomly doing stuff that seems really unlike her. it’s like she doesn’t have a grasp on her own personality.

she’s known for being sort of a weirdo, always with her head somewhere else.

she loves experimenting, and she often tries out new potions or spells by inflicting them on herself. you can bet that madam pomfrey is really familiar with her already

personality wise, she’s studious, rather eloquent, caring and open-minded. but is also selfish and fickle. she wants to have fun, all the time

she can get pretty intense when talking about experiments, new ideas, etc. definitely the type of person who doesn’t know how to chill.

she’s also incredibly opinionated and passionate. if there was a debate club, she’d get kicked out of it since she, as previously mentioned, has zero chill

she’s recently discovered that she’s into girls and boys; she freaked out for a week before deciding to ignore it altogether.

patience? what’s that? that’s not a word in pandora’ vocabulary. she’s like a child, in the aspect that she gets restless easily, always needing to be doing something. queues will be the death of her; or at least that’s what she claims.

her sense of humor is mostly based on sarcasm and lame puns

extremely smart; i mean you have to be to invent your own spells and potions, right??

the sorting hat’s first decision was slytherin. pandora has always been ambitious and clever; she dreams big, wanting to be a famous spell inventor or smth along those lines. in the end, she was sorted into ravenclaw because she seeks knowledge for the sake of it, not to use it as means to achieve certain goal

she’s secretly addicted to invigoration draught which she drinks in order to stay awake as much as possible when inspired to invent or experiment since she believes that sleeping is a waste of time when she could be doing something “productive” with her time

pandora yearns for physical affection (touching foreheads with others and cuddling are two of her favorite things to do) and loves praise. she also has a huge weakness for petnames. call her any sort of petname and there’s a 72% chance she’ll do whatever you want.

she’s her own biggest enemy, always trying to be better and hating herself when she doesn’t receive the results she wanted.

above being a brother, son - or even friend - rodolphus is a purist– a lestrange– a death eater. he’s not apathetic towards those in his life, but it often seems that way when he’s faced with certain decisions/situations. he’s a realist, honestly, and won’t object to being called the killjoy if it means he’s being listened to. somehow, he thinks he’s meant for some higher purpose?? he’s so Extra™ 

he has such an intense sense of duty and he will channel this in many ways. despite his age, there is no doubting that he is an extremist in his views. it’s as if he needs to be a part of something bigger than himself.

along with his duty, he can be very respectable. he understands that not only is he representing himself during his time at hogwarts, but his family and perhaps even the purist cause itself.

bc of this sense of duty, he takes care w his grades. one of his squad will be hexing a muggleborn and you’ll mistake him for being kind when he’s like, “we’re going to be late for class” - only for him to add, “this mudblood can wait until later.” he believes that to be the best death eater he can, it’s within his best interests to gain a high-status job. he’s particularly good at charms.

he’s very much for authority. he’s not against putting himself forward as a leader, but he can also respect the idea of being lead. due to this mentality, he is liked by a lot of teachers who probably shouldn’t like him.

it’s not uncommon for him to groom younger students into joining the death eater cause. he does it in a way that purposefully leaves out the whole ‘physical elimination of some of the wizarding population’.

but don’t be fooled !! i don’t think there’s even a droplet of redemption in this boy. he is cruel and unforgiving - he’s just been ‘plan before you act’ for far too many years.

as a child, conformity was key in the black household. if you didn’t conform to the idea that purebloods were hot shit, or that mudbloods and blood traitors were the scum of the earth, you can bet your ass walburga would make you skip dinner and send you to your room with a red, hand-shaped bruise on your cheek. much of sirius’s childhood was spent with the imprint of walburga’s backhand across his face.

sirius has a scar across his lip from one of mrs. black’s rings, something he got as a little boy ( he’d made the mistake of asking her what was so wrong with muggles, they wore cool clothes and had awesome taste in music ) that never quite healed.

sirius was pretty good at hiding his feelings about his family until the sorting hat put him in gryffindor. after that, it was all very much downhill. his parents considered him a lost cause, a good-for-nothing with no talent who would never become anyone, and for a long time that’s how he saw himself. worthless. what was the point of trying if nobody cared how he did?

as soon as teenage rebellion hit sirius, it hit hard. he did everything under the sun to make sure his parents absolutely loathed him, and spent much of his time running of to james’s house or staying out all night as a way of avoiding his parents.

he never really bothered applying himself in his classes because he didn’t see how grades mattered. however, sirius was naturally somebody who was very good at the practical application of magic. he could nail just about any spell the first time around, and had a certain wit about him. perhaps he’d never be the type to spend hours studying, but give him a shot at a spell with his wand and he’d practice for days. very much a kinesthetic learner.

sirius has developed an “i’m not good enough” complex that’s haunted him since he was a boy. what he really craves is validation, and that’s probably why he’s such good friends with the marauders. they make him feel like he’s worth something, like he’s found a purpose and a place to belong. he never much had that sense with his family, hence his running away to live with james over the past summer.

sirius is very smug and arrogant. he’s also the type of guy that “isn’t into anything sirius ( i hate that i just made that joke ),” but it, “isn’t you, it’s just me.” he breaks hearts, and not because he can, but because he really just has no idea what he wants. he’s seventeen and fickle and he doesn’t think he’s worth being in a relationship with anyone. basically, he doesn’t think he deserves it. good luck convincing him.

his best class is probably transfiguration or defense, and the only one he doesn’t really excel in is potions. he’s not the best at getting things down to an exact science, and hates spending time stirring cauldrons. subtle arts are lost on him, for the most part.

yay he can turn in to a fluffy black dog. sometimes roams around the campus when he’s feeling down requesting to be patted. give him pats or feel his wrath. 

sirius very much considers it a personal betrayal that james was made head boy. barf. he constantly teases james about it, and also moony is still a prefect, so what the hell is he doing hanging out with those posers.

whoops that got a bit long. i could’ve added more, but i figure most of you are familiar with sirius so i should stop while i’m ahead. give him love, give him attention because lord knows he needs it. and, as always, if you want to plot hmu i am always down even if i take 8 hours to respond because i’m at work. super excited to be rping with you lovelies <3

i’m a strong believer that ted still hasn’t come to terms with his status as a wizard and i don’t think he truly ever will??

he spent 11 years doing things in one way and being told there was essentially a whole new world of ways has exhausted ted to say the least. not only has he had the same pressures as any other student would have to deal with, he was forced to learn everything over again while others around him have been surrounded by magic their whole lives

bc of all that, ted has become a deeply insecure person?? being an only child didn’t help due to it being all eyes on him.

he’s such a ‘puff !! when the sorting hat assigned him to hufflepuff, ted had no idea what it meant, just that he now had to wear funky yellow and black gear. little did he know he would come to embrace more than just his house’s colours.

the idea of him playing quidditch makes me laugh bc honestly, this boi is far too meek for any of the positions. hOWEveR, he is the current commentator for quidditch.

he’s a big fan of anything that reminds him of home. you won’t really find him with any wizard-y gadgets. instead of a dorm filled with magical moving frames, he has faded af muggle polaroids of his parents doing embarrassingly white ppl muggle things.

hoWevER, ted is as stubborn as a mule and can be quite reclusive, mainly because of how mentally exhausting he finds it to be at hogwarts. all he really needs is a push and he’s back on the road, but he does need that push.

he’s all that a hufflepuff should be - patient, kind, tolerant - unless you’re genuinely not willing to give him the time of day. perhaps the londoner in him, but he won’t wait around forever for you to play games. he is, however, good at reading people, allowing room for second and even third chances to those he deems truly deserving.

if you really want to know ted’s vibe (not so much the lyrics), listen to any blur, pulp or spandau ballet.

ok he sees the sorting of his brother sirius in gryffindor to be a literal personal act of betrayal.,,. like ??? ‘ why couldnt u be in slytherin like the rest of us folks couldnt u have just begged u shithead ’. like he loved his brother so much and he watched as sirius’s relationship with his parents crumble into pieces and he couldn’t do anything about it ?? boy just watched as the bridge ( or should i say tapestry haha )  burn like he didn’t know what was going on. he just watched as the people he loved scream and shout 

at first he blamed his parents .  he thought they were being difficult but at the same time ?? he had been raised to follow the rigid standards of tradition that he couldn’t help but understand how they felt ?? like he tried to imagine himself in their shoes more than his brother which eventually resulted in him shifting literally all the blame towards sirius. so if u ask regulus ,  he doesn’t have a brother. at first he rlly rlly missed spending time with the Hoeass but now he’s grown used to being an “only child”

so his parents shifted all their attention to regulus now bc he’s the sole heir suddenly and in order to make sure that some shit like sirius never happens again ,  they’ve drilled it into him that blood purity is a Must and that the Blacks are and must always be better than anyone else ,l,.,.,. Yikes 

hes set to get his dark mark over christmas break and like hes nervous but also ?? ok with it bc a part of him does admire the dark lord in that he thinks there’s a specific person and a strong leader behind the movement so what can go wrong ?? like the boy gravitates towards authoritative figures as if he needs someone telling him what to do and where to go. he has a hard time trusting himself to make those decisions which was why he thought for a split second about dipping with his brother and then immediately scratched the idea .  he relied on his parents too much .  they were his net and he couldnt leave that
