None of them are talking about that if Predathos is released then they are annihilating basically multiple civilizations. He IS the core of the moon. Do they really think him leaving would leave the moon untouched. The beings on the moon untouched. I highly doubt it.
Not to mention Dorian has watched what it is to have a bad god in someones head. And is now wanting one of his other friends to do a more extreme version of that.
Dorian and Ashton are letting their OWN feelings towards the gods direct their choices, and NOT logical thought.
