Does this mean Kraken fans are going to be called Krack heads? I spent a good chunk of my life in Seattle and the colors are exactly what I expected. The weather really looks like those colors and if you don’t mind the rain it’s really pretty.
I’m sure people will call them that, but they shouldn’t. The team will be riddled with drug jokes while fans ignore the violently racist history of crack. The laws surrounding crack were specifically targeted to imprison black communities. It’s not a fun name to call fans. It’s a dehumanizing term for those with addiction, and there’s a pervasively racist history that exists to this day around crack.
