Professor Ozpin said in episode ten that he's probably made more mistakes than anybody else I personally think that his biggest mistake was super-gluing his mug to his hand for kicks and he was never able to get it off so he always has coffee/hot chocolate in the mug so nobody questions why he can never put the mug down
