🏫 WHAT LITTLE I SAW IN CARHUÉ 🏫 . Well, we're still here waiting for our car to be repaired. With much luck, we will get it tomorrow morning and be able to drive back home for New Year's Eve. With a little less luck, we'll have it in the afternoon and drive back home on January 1st. Otherwise, I will go back with the kids by bus and my husband will have to wait for the car 😕 . In any case, we spent some less than optimal vacation time to put a nice little bow on this weird year 2020 . Despite all that and in order to relax at least a little bit, today I painted a summary of a few things that we were able to see here apart from our apartment and the pool: some beautiful skyscapes, an approaching storm, impressive palm trees, a full moon and the main square with the government building designed by the architect Francisco Salamone . QUARANTINE = TUTORIAL TIME . As I work from home now and have kids, I haven't THAT much more time for art but still enough to explore and experiment a bit . Here for example I tried abstract painting following one of her live session with Yuliia @myweirdart_ and looking at some of her pieces . What new art styles and / or materials are you exploring rn? 🎨 A DAY THAT STARTS WITH ART 🎨 . IS SO MUCH BETTER than without it!! . I enjoy creating first thing in the morning, now more than ever. I love to get my hands dirty with some paint, relax and ground myself . It also gives me the feeling of having accomplished something, of having "filled my cup" and I feel far more ready to face the day, to dive into work or chores around the house or anything else that needs to be done . What helps you focus and ground yourself these days? Do you have a creative routine? Do you have the possibility to create more or less than under normal circumstances? . TROPICAL FLOWER 🌺 . Finished this beauty little by little over the last few days. As I have some health issues with my back and sitting is just the worst possible position to be in, there’s not much painting happening over here rn. . I also have still so much to prepare for my trip to visit my family in Germany next week 😱 - so yeah, new paintings will be slow coming for a while more, I guess . ❄ BACKLIT SNOWY PINE TREES ❄ . We had a beautiful sunny and cold winter day today - perfect for a walk in the park. There’s no snow but my kids were still amazed by the frozen puddles and hoarfrost on the ground . As long as we don’t get actual snow - it doesn’t seem like it and in just over another week we’re going back home - we’ll just have to make do with some painted one . 💫 HAPPY NEW YEAR 2020 💫 . I hope y'all had a great time on new years eve and a good start into this new year . We were together with my sisters, their families and our parents - so seven adults and seven kids from one to eight years old. It was quite chaotic but also a lot of fun!! .
