Hi Tumblr Diary!
Today is my first chorus concert in 20+ years (We've performed at church services but this is my first CONCERT.)
We were supposed to bring stuff for intermission snacks and a fundraiser auction.
This was announced YESTERDAY. I'm the only new person, so everyone else just knew.
I had gotten wind of this about three days ago and started working on a project. I was told to have it ready by tomorrow.
It is supposed to be ready TODAY.
I accidentally partially destroyed it a few hours ago.
It turns out sopranos bring in a craft today, and altos bring in a craft tomorrow. I am a soprano. I might be able to salvage it in time to pretend to be an alto.
One of our signature songs always makes me ugly cry 100% of the time, and now I have to get through it in front of an audience. I am in the front row, because I'm in the seated section.
A fellow chorus member shared with me that she ugly cried at the same song during a performance last year, and it is now on tiktok for the whole world to see forever.
That made me feel better.
Another chorus member just said "Crying is always an audience favorite." I don't think she was joking.
