I made my first two paper flowers! I am working on the flower crown for my wife's cosplay of Nott the Brave / Veth from Critical Role (at level 10, when she's still a goblin but owning it!).
These petals are cut from metallic (it has a luster/catches light) text weight paper with a blue or yellow watercolor splash pattern printed on both sides to add some variation.
Floss Haul!
Have two cross stitch projects lined up. Took advantage of a coupon and did a big haul at Michaels! So much fun!
I finished crocheting my first blanket today and my cats claimed it
How to Keep Track of Floss Stash
When I first started doing cross stitching, I would keep track of my floss in a notebook. But, that got really messy. It was impossible to keep the numbers in order because I was constantly getting new ones, I had to cross things out, add stuff in, and it just got really messy. Then, I decided to do it on Excel and I absolutely love it. It was a pain to fill in all the numbers and the names, but it’s all set up so I can just add in another color or change the number on the amount that I have of a certain floss.
