Hi everyone! What I've come up with is no simple task. I want to make a Bobby Singer recipe book. I've already started working on it. The book will look roughly like the one in the photo. I've already completed 1 recipe. This is a big project. I hope you'll find it interesting to follow along with its creation.
Dear hunters and collectors, this isn't just a recipe book. It's a piece of Bobby Singer's world — dog-eared, whiskey-stained, bound in leather and stubbornness. I draw every single page from scratch in Photoshop — 30 original illustrations, one for each recipe. Then comes printing on thick paper, hand-distressing the edges, hand-sewn binding, leather cover (or high-quality faux leather). This is 100% handmade. By me. Why $350? Let me be honest: materials are about $70, time is 40+ hours of work, and my rate is less than $8/hour. I'm not doing this to get rich. I'm doing this because Supernatural has been in my heart for years. But creating takes time — and time is the only thing we can't get back.
